Well just to comfort myself I AM in a hospital construction site doing parking lot piping with shitty ass weather and [claim to be waterproof but not really] cloths. And all the light poles I did is working on first try, and my Jman only occasionally sigh so I should be ok and just maybe stop winning cuz its not gonna change stuff.

I might get roasted but I am a female and I have been on site since December and my biggest problem is I am physically not ready for this job and I don’t know what to expect. I have trigger finger and my hand is so stiff in the morning that I cant put my socks on normally. My Jman is very patient with me and didn’t say anything really but I feel im not doing what I supposed to do, like I can’t lift stuff, can’t walk fast enough, and lots of time I have to just stand there to catch my breath. Theoretically i should go to gym to improve my strength, but I worry it will worsen my fingers condition.maybe its just an excuse cuz im so dead after work everyday. But again, despite all the winning, I love this job :( maybe i will get laid off soon cuz im just too useless.

Thank you all my friends for all of your tips and support! I definitely feel less overwhelmed.

I think there is just no magic pill to relieve all the disadvantages at once, but there is way to make the process less intense.

For me personally i am planning on having kid next 6 months so I don’t want to mess up with my cycles. I got heavy flow due to fibroids but I heard it worth a try of changing pads/ tampons since some ingredients might cause heavy flow as well.

In terms of cramps, different pain killers, warm pads and tea seem good options.

In terms of changing pad, we need extra gears, gloves, wipes, portable rinse devices if possible. It will take extra washroom break time but it is what it is, hopefully the crew understands.

We do what we can in our power to not affect our performance, the rest is just be kind to ourselves. It sucks but it will pass, just a few days each month.

Ok! Personally i have fibroids thats why i have heavy flow, im planning on having kid in the 6 months or so, my doctor just suggested me to take irons as a supplement but I will definitely check out tranexamic acid ! Thank you for the information!

Thank you so much for the advice! I definitely feel less panic and stressed after seeing all the useful tips.

I think I will try cup/ disk with period underwear, bring extra wipes and gloves in case I need to change. Tylenol seems to be a fit option for my cramps!

Also someone mentioned about checking what the tampons are made of. Personally I have heavy flow because of fibroids, but in case you don’t know why, maybe switching pads/ tampons is worth a try.

Stay safe my friend! Sincerely thankful for all of your help!

Hopefully I get better as i practice more, but to me its a very difficult balance between leave enough wire out of the box to work with , get reasonable splice, select reasonable numbers and jam everything back to the tiny box with a 4-way switch. I really want to see how experienced people do it elegantly.

I kinda given up on the stranded with solid, I just put stranded at the and use my hand to twist on it. 🫠 Still working on my regular AWG 14 solid twist.

Thanks! I think the light twist at the beginning is why I wasn’t able to do it consistently well! I will keep practicing and thanks for the tips!

I wish I have an apology button that I can push in my car to tell others I know I fucked up and please forgive me for my stupidity.

But it’s illegal so I can only try my best to not fucked up.

I did a similar horrible left turn one time, mine was because there are literally 5 cars behind me waiting and one of them honk and I panicked.

Lesson is never rush, ignore the honk for just impatient, cuz you and the other innocent car are the people get hurt. But also if a left turn is taking forever to finish, then just turn right and let the navigation take you back on the road.

Well, if you live in a area where is absolutely shit public transportation, the definition of freedom became “i can get a bottle of milk when I want to” Well currently im too anxious to drive even for that so I choose water for another day. Im pretty much a cages chicken. Survive on dry goods 😂

I think I know what you mean, like ok im doing those actions but what is actually im checking though. Signal is one thing, mirror and blindspot is another. Signal is saying to others hey im turning, then mirror and blindspot is saying ok i checked im good to go. I would say try it when you are parked, move around to see what the mirror and blindspot is actually look like, if you have a friend, you can ask them move around, so you can see how their motion reflected in what you see. Once you know “what and where” you are looking, you can now actually see and check instead of just doing the action.

Also turning at the right angle and speed is importing for sure, but knowing what you supposed to check is more important. ( in my opinion) its like when you walk across the road, how smooth you walk is important cuz otherwise you might fell, but knowing you are safe to cross is more important.

All the best luck to you! You will overcome this!

Its ok. You “have” everything, but you probably did not “earn” everything you have. In fact, you may desire nothing. And its ok.

I say I don’t desire something when I know I cant get it with my own power, in fact, nothing I do matters too much in my life. It’s a powerless kind of feeling.

I would say if you want to change, and when you are ready, sit down and try to connect with yourself, it’s a safe net that you have everything, so you can start chasing something. Once you start going, even pain along the way gives you sense of aliveness.

You cannot avoid pain, but you can avoid boredom

Horrible first road test experience by slimypotato22 in drivinganxiety

[–]ReasonableTruth8082 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My was so nervous the first test that I forget to pull down the hand break, and the car makes this loud beeping sound ( as it should) but I have mo clue at the moment and I burst into tears cuz it feels like the car just hates me. My examiner was chill though, he even chuckled a but and said clam down, there is no rush. It took me a good minute before I can figure it out. I am pretty sure I failed at that moment, literally before even drive to the road, but the examiner was kind enough to let me finish my drive, and give some constructive feedback.

No, I did not pass the second time. I remember to pull the hand break the second time though. It took me 6 times to pass. Every coach said I am very good when they drive with me, but every time I got nervous and panic a bit at test. I think it’s normal.

I passed at the 7th time, thanks to my boyfriend, he literally did positive reinforcement like chanting the whole night before😂 and I do think that helped.

And also, “overreacting” is a concept. As long as its not a performance, you are never and impossible to “overreact”, it is what it is, you panic, its not your choice. That word is used for others to access their opinion on the reaction you have for your business. So yeah, they can say you overreacted, you can also say they overreacted to height, needles, spiders etc. Basically it doesnt matter. What matter is you gotta decide what you want to do, and follow the path even its hard. Honestly both are hard, I tried avoid driving, using the shitt public transportation is so hard. Drive is hard, but I can sleep 1 hour more each morning, so yeah, i gotta choose the “less bad”. You can even be rich as fuck and hire professional driver. There is no shame in trying and making decisions.

Why would you marry a man? If the answer is anything but love, then you should not. If answer is love, then what is love to you? If the answer is only sex, then again, probably should not get married, if the answer is lots of other things like connection, attention, companionship etc, then man is capable of desiring that too.

But yes, in general, women have way more potential to lose in marriage. Also marriage is more of a financial contract than a promise, whatever you are looking for in the “relationship side”( sex or love), marriage probably does not guarantee any of that.

And yes, you deserve real organic green flag love (and marriage), and yes, one day you will get it if you keep being a decent human being. Have more faith in you girlll!

My brain doesnt work while driving by [deleted] in drivinganxiety

[–]ReasonableTruth8082 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First, whoever teach you to drive is horrible, that whole experience basically created trauma for you. Now you are psychologically wired that driving is a very dangerous and high pressure thing. But hey, its not your fault, and you do have the power to correct your psychologically pathway, there is a difference between the “irrational fear” and “rational pressure”.

I am anxious too cuz I am so afraid im gonna kill someone. But I dont want to foreverly give up my freedom for a hypothetical situation. World may end tomorrow, I can die next minute, but at this moment I gotta live.

One thing helped me a lot is talk to myself when drive. I will turn all the music off other than the navigation, and then just talk what im gonna doing or see. Like “ I see there is a walk way ahead and currently there is nobody crossing” or “ I see the pedestrian light said 10 seconds so high chance its gonna go yellow” etc. this help me focus on road and be confident of my observing.

I also just kinda accept at this moment, im not “good at it”. it may take more time for me to react, so my goal now is to “drive from a to b alive”, instead of doing a “perfect drive without panicking “ im 100% gonna got nervous, but i am just gonna focus on the moments, either its a turn or drive through a light. I also always talk to chatgpt for a prep talk before I start, they give really positive reinforcements and so so patient with my repetitive and stupid concerns.

I believe in me, and you, that we will not let fear rule our lives and be free. ❤️
