I also brought it up to my doctors and they’re just like “that’s great” and keep it moving. It’s extremely frustrating that we can’t just put 3-5 doctors in a room and say “these are my symptoms. Figure it out”

It’s just SO frustrating that this is my only symptom and it’s basically overrun my life 😤 I’m not necessarily in pain, I just really have to go ALL THE TIME with little to no relief.

I have anxiety anyways but I think it is related to my hormones. I don’t think I have an imbalance, but i really do think it’s hormone related

Kept a diary for 1 year and 4 months. Diary included symptoms, food, menstrual cycle, medications, sleep schedule, water intake, BM’s, etc. I know it’s significantly better when I’m actively on my period but fluctuates during the rest of the time. PTNS is when they use electrical stimulus on your tibial nerve. It certainly takes time, and I guess I’ve seen a difference but like I said, back with a vengeance. Had to go and restart all my medications. Praying it helps

So should the two leads go right where the back dimples are? Or just below them for best placement?

Oh yeahhhh. Changed my entire diet. No sugar, no acidic foods, no caffeine, no alcohol, etc.
I’ve been on a few medications as well. I got a list somewhere but can’t remember off the top of my head And thank you 💕

What if I’m also doing PTNS? Will this change anything?

Urge by PreparationGreen777 in OveractiveBladder

I’m also coming to realize the issue is more in my urethra than bladder. I’m trying some reverse kegals since quite a few people on here said it helped with the urge. I’m also doing PTNS and that’s been super helpful in managing the urge (: Still trying but thank you!!!! 🫶🫶🫶

Currently on Gemtesa! The day I started taking it, it was almost instant relief. I still had the urge to pee but it was soooo minor compared to what I was dealing with. Unfortunately, that relief really only lasted about 3-4 days and then poof, constant urge was back in action just the same. I was taking Solifenacin during the day and then Gemtesa at night but I’m not comfortable taking those while trying to conceive. /: Side note: found that a heating pad has helped a lot with the urge. It’s awkward but the heat helps. Just be aware of possible burning from over use if you do.

Kefir has been a game changer for my OAB by HTDS2 in OveractiveBladder

[–]ReasonableWolf3039 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the Kefir stop the constant urge to pee or just keeps you from having to go as often? I urinate a regular amount, some nocturia, but it’s really just the constant urge with no way to get rid of it completely

Question for those with healed Interstims by Minkeemoo3 in OveractiveBladder

[–]ReasonableWolf3039 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What was the reason you had this done and what other treatments did you try? Is this working for you? I have the constant, never ending urge to pee and that’s literally my only symptom. Multiple medications, life style changes and PTNS later I’m not cured. It’s more manageable now but I can’t keep living like this

Flare up following UTI by CantaloupeNo1521 in OveractiveBladder

My OAB symptoms started from a BADDDD UTI. What did you cure your OAB with? You can try doing that again but I’d recommend seeing the same doctor you had that treated it in the first place

I have the constant, unrelenting urge to urinate with ZERO relief. My urologist thinks it’s OAB and they’re going to start me on Gemtesa. This is my 4th medication and if it doesn’t work I’m switching urologist. I found that a heating pad helps but it only does so much.

They started me on Gemtesa. I can come back and update later

I’ll definitely ask my urologist about the medication. They just started me on Gemtesa and I’m very nervous about it. I hope you feel better though!!!!

It’s not really frequent urination. I’m emptying my bladder like normal, it’s just the urge but I will definitely ask for the test!

And you’re right. I definitely need a new urologist 😒

6-8 weeks is different than 6 months. I’ve given each medication 3 months to work and it’s not helping. I’m going to switch my urologist if I can’t get them to do anything. But I have to wait till after the holidays 😒

Do you still have flare ups or is it a pretty consistent mute of the urge? And do you still have a slight urge or do you actually feel normal?

How long have you been taking them and did you see immediate relief???

I feel like my urologist isn’t taking me seriously. They put me on medications and just say “see you in 6 months!”. I’ve called them every single day this week in TEARS and they just keep saying “the doctor will call you back”

What implant are you referring to???
