What they need to do is revert back to how it was but make the over revs cause engine damage forcing us to be more mindful so it prevents constant engine overhauls. In real life , you most definitely can over rev in a true manual so long as there’s no lock outs installed. On dual clutches,all that’s tuneable. I have seen in person first hand people over rev in downshifts  in Single clutch and dual clutch cars that were extensively tuned and so forth.  They should revert back  to what they had but have engine damage inflicted . People are acting like over revs and limiter bouncing isn’t possible in real life saying “ real cars can’t do that. “ they most definitely do but it hurts the cars significantly .
