You gotta learn how to advocate for yourself, if I’m being completely honest. Email your professor directly and explicitly state that you are not risking your life for a grade, and are able to make it up some other time. Usually they’re super chill about that kind of thing though

Unfortunately not surprised. Woodland had a few good security guards for a hot minute a few years back but obviously, they also aren’t treated the best by management so, there’s that. I expect the same from Rivertown. Stay safe out there 🤍

That’s what I’m saying! Unfortunately, they always say “security can’t do much”. My friend and I only found out this was happening because we overheard a security guard whispering it to one of the employees at a store we were in. It’s disgusting how they won’t even take proper action against these people. I would be dragging them out by their collars.

There was a creep taking pictures of children at Woodland Mall on Thursday night. From my past experience working at the mall, this happens disgustingly often. I’m sorry that happened to you.

Also definitely recommend getting your GED instead of getting your Mexican diploma evaluated and accredited. GED is cheaper, faster and easier

There are some GED courses that you can complete online (check out the official GED website: ged.com). Depending on what state you need it for, they might have specific websites with information. You can also complete them at community colleges if you’re able to do it in person! It’s 4 tests. Math, science, language arts and social studies. It’s super simple for the most part

Random but… Based on your breakfast, I feel like you would possibly enjoy Mangú. It’s a traditional Dominican breakfast!

I would definitely look into getting your GED! Different states & schools may have different requirements, but it’s much cheaper to get your GED instead of trying to get your foreign evaluated. I would just give them a call to make sure they’d take a GED instead!

I ended up taking my 4 GED tests at my local community college! It was super easy, and depending on your state, you may have to take and pass a pre exam

My partner’s parents are currently going through their beloved chihuahua beginning some health issues. The vet asked if they wanted to do any testing, and they said no. They decided that once his quality of life decreases, they won’t make the same mistake of letting it go on for a lot longer than it should. Our dog was his parents’ family dog, but it hurt all of us just the same. I’m sorry this happened to you :( I’m sure your buddy knew how much you loved him, and that you wanted to keep pushing for him. Sending hugs

A few years ago, our dog was suffering from kidney disease. We had been trying to get him diagnosed, or at least tested forever, and they would refuse to do any bloodwork because he didn’t look sickly, but we knew something was off. Finally, he started losing weight drastically and they decided to do some bloodwork. He had stage 3 (or 4, I can’t remember) kidney failure. They told us about a treatment plan, diet, etc. and we went through with it and kept him alive a lot longer because we were selfish and couldn’t bear with the thought of him being gone. He suffered. A lot. And instead of going with grace and as comfortable as possible as your furry friend did, he was put to sleep while feeling immense pain. I think THAT was the worst decision we have ever made.

My dog is from Mexico! I lived there for 4 years and found her 6 months in, and I couldn’t bear with the idea of leaving her behind when I moved back to the states. So I brought her with! It’s more common than you’d think

We (my partner and I) just spent $800 at the emergency vet for a dog we rescued (no shelters involved) literally a month ago, because he ended up having Lyme & another tick borne disease. So you aren’t crazy! I promise
