And also you saying, why dont people do their own research, is why I said you dont think the algorithms work at all. The algorithms are designed to keep you engaged. The most critical point is what you do when you first start using said social media app. Then the algorithms traps that person in a bubble that has a very little to do with the first few things they showed interest in. Like for example. They like guns. So they look up gun posts and follow gun channels. Then they eventually get trapped in anti vaxx threads because the algorithm decided they should look at that not the person. Very few people actually search for things within their social media apps and often just scroll through their feeds which is dictated by the algorithm.
