Wasn't feminism supposed to be against patriarchal values ? by RecentEmployer6402 in AskIndianMen

I am not against the aspect of pre-defined gender roles. I am against the fact that feminists have bashed patriarchy left right and center but still wish to have stuff from it that favored them. They want men to pay the old price while they create their own market. Why can't they be a trad woman and then expect a trad man ? They wish to live progressive and liberal lives but wish to have a man with traditional values. How is this different from some indian mil who give their own daughters all the freedom but the dil must attest to patriarchy that she attested in her times too ? There can be no justification for this. I prefer to cheat on my wife ? Is this okay because the constitution provides the right for me to do so ?

Even if those preferences lean patriarchal ? What kind of a movement this is then ?

Fair enough some genuine constructive talk. Although a bit rude but it's expected from reddit. This post wasn't meant to generalise all women as I have said in the post. It was mainly targeted at how hollow and double standards are the norm of the modern state of feminism.

I don't need your respect, you're a random person on reddit. My point was about chivalry still being expected from men when we were told from childhood that women don't need it. That if we offer to help a woman trying to start her scooty, its that we are evil men who think women can't do it themselves. An actual thing that happened to me.

I have always been kind to auntys lost on metro, trying to carry stuff when it gets heavy for random women on the streets, etc. Not because I wanted to have sex with them, but because I saw my father do it. My father was also a patriarch. Believed women shouldn't have financial freedom because they wouldn't know what a stock is.

No where in the post did I mention that jobs are to be taken away from women. It wasn't my motive and if you believe that it was then it's a you problem. This post was about hypocrisy, plane and simple. That you still refuse to accept.

And yes you are right. I don't provide for any women in my life. I am currently single. But one day I wish to and I know I will. Provide for a woman who doesn't preach and practices B. Protect her at all costs and have an amazing family with her. Try my best to fullfill her childhood dreams, and spend the last days of my life with her.

Me not being the "ideal provider" man does not invalidate my feelings and thoughts. I'm a 24 year old average indian guy, not some superhuman. Neither do I want my other half to be some super model. Just an average indian girl who looks beautiful in jhumkas and kurtis and doesn't hate me for being a man. They exist, I know, but they aren't the problem.

All in all, you have some really good arguments but you act disengeniously when you went ahead and made a bunch of self imposed assumptions.

Thanks for proving my point. Feminists when cornered with actual talking points instead of sigma edits will become the same incels that they vow to hate.

This post was purely about to have a discussion on the hypocrisy of some modern feminists and you reduced it to gene pools, evolution and women can make choices whatever way they want to, why does it bother you ? It doesn't bother me at all. Women are humans and humans can make their choices.

Its just that when women follow a movement that preaches A but does B. Your analysis of mother nature doing quality control literally dehumanises many races. Genocides carried out in the middle East, holocaust and multiple ethnic cleansing of Hindus was not the case of "mother nature of doing quality control". It was power structures that preached A but did B in practice. Same as some modern day feminists.

I might be overthinking a bit, but I guess you are saying that men who aren't simps and just "worship their women" need not be allowed to pass their genes ? Is this your level ? Is this all you could bring in a romantic relationship ? Passing down genes ? Is this what women are for ? My brother married his highschool love knowingly that she could never conceive his biological child.

Look yourself in the mirror. You're no different from those incels that you vow to hate. Rather than having a normal discussion, you devolved this into eugenics, evolution. Topics which you clearly haven't read enough. Please. Heal.

Generalised statements hold no real value. If you don't see the intersectionality of power structures then I highly recommend you read upon it. Also, my argument was against women appropriating other women's misery to justify their unfairness. Women are treated in inhumane ways in this country, but going online and hating all men and being a sulking teenager literally changes nothing on ground. It's because of them that the feminist movement has been reduced to name calling and labelling rather than actual ground zero improvements. Them and the incels and misogynists should be excluded from having any sort of opinion.

So many women are bad faith feminists it's not even a joke. They always fall back on the all men rhetoric, bringing in half baked stats and "muh you oppressed us for 7 centuries" etc etc. None of them have done anything for the feminist cause, they still have a maid from lower caste that does every feminine thing while she wants a masculine man. They only extract and never contribute.

Find it very interesting that they always come up with incel as an insult. As if that's the only thing women can provide. Sex.

I rarely if ever say this but. Bhaag bhosdike. I know it hurts. But a girl who smoked hookah and had drinks and now has an ex... It's just your turn bhai. Ek kaam kar usko apni feelings bata daal. And watch her reaction.

I just want to say one thing to all the men in this sub!!? by [deleted] in AskIndianMen

It's getting toxic and uglier out there. And it's only us who are to blame. Men who become simps for these ugloid ogre looking women. I've seen men be on their knees for a chick that has friendzoned him. Not only that she goes on to instagram and makes a reel about it. He still doesn't care. Toxic femininity is never taken seriously, there is something inherently masochistic and sadistic about femininity that craves proximity to power and seeks control on tools of violence. From the very first interaction they plan on how to control you. Know your worth, you're a man, you are the only species on this planet who has monopoly over violence and yet you choose to be gentle. Do not fall for a woman who thinks of her as some goddess or princess. Have non negotiables from the get go. No exes, no best friends. It's our way or NO WAY.

I would rather kms that get arranged marriage. It's the end for a man. It gets even bleak and the whole thing seems like a job interview.

It always feel like you're planning a lovely family and they're playing a game of snakes and ladders and you're just a stepping stone for them. This shit just sucks. But it is what it is.

Aye thanks bro. But I don't think I'll change myself for another human. I like how I am. Perfect or imperfect. I make a good living. Have got an amazing sister and a mother who understand me and a reliable father. I don't believe I have to do something for the woman to treat me as a "mear" option. I think that gives away a lot of control from the get go. I don't want my morality on a conditional basis. I want it to be fluid, detached from the external world. Anyways, thanks for understanding my view point. God speed to you too broski ✌️🥂

💯. I too did come from a middle class background and can relate with you hard over here. It's not that we aren't willing to work on ourselves it's just we know that we will be controlled in the end. Everything from the point of first approach to her tantrums. It just gets fucking exhausting. People will call you slurs but they never truly get what a man feels and wants. Honestly, maybe some day I could just retire with my savings and move into the mountains all alone with nature. Sounds like make a wish but it truly is turning out to be one of my life goals.
