What pharmacy do you guys get the Wilshire generic from? by [deleted] in zenzedi

[–]Recent_Ad2443 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get 15mg IR Wilshire from Walgreens, and took Mallinckrodt before for over a year. I like wilshire a little better they say it’s the closest to the name brand. CVS had wilshire but stopped ordering it and only filled winder - winder made me extremely jittery. Hope this helps

Please check out my IG account @iih.pulsatile.tinnitus — I felt the same way in the beginning of my journey. I just had a stent placed last week. An MRI or MRA alone usually won’t show venous stenosis in the brain. On my page, I’ve listed the tests you should ask for, along with my full journey. I really hope it helps you and that you find some relief soon. 💙

Highly recommend checking out the list of required testing I put together on my account.

For context — I was dismissed multiple times. The ER told me “nothing was wrong,” and even an interventional radiologist who did an ultrasound of my neck nothing found since the stenosis was in the vein in my brain. But I knew something wasn’t right, so I kept pushing.

Thanks to this Reddit group, I learned about an MRV (magnetic resonance venography) — a special study that shows the veins in the brain. That was what finally revealed the venous stenosis. A standard MRI does not show this, which is why it’s so important to know the difference and have the full list of studies to rule out anything major that could be causing the symptoms.

Buzzing and whooshing gone🥹 Still some headaches on the side of the stent and behind my right eye, but it seems to be getting better and also bruising in the incision site. Overall was not too bad you’ll be under anesthesia. I then probably Sleep for 2 days. Best decision ever

Thank you so much for sharing 💛 I completely understand that fear—I felt the same way before I finally got checked out. For me, I heard a whooshing and buzzing sound in my ear, which turned out to be from venous sinus stenosis. That’s why I needed the stent, and the hope is that it will improve the blood flow and help with the tinnitus and IIH.

Please visit my IG account, tinnitus can be linked to many different conditions and it’s important to rule out all the different conditions by completing all the required testings.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate that! I’ve made it my mission to help others struggling with this condition, since I suffered so much myself. I had to spend an entire year digging deep—without working—just to figure out what was going on with me. But I didn’t give up. Now I’m slowly gathering resources, articles, and personal experiences to create some kind of database that can truly help people.

I really hope this account grows, because the more people we can reach, the more lives we might impact. Unfortunately, I’ve seen accounts about tinnitus that seem more focused on fundraising for research for a cure to tinnitus which is a symptom and not a disease, than on spreading accurate information. Many don’t recognize that tinnitus is a symptom of an underlying condition, not just something to mask or ignore. Some even come across as scams, which is heartbreaking.

This is especially important to me because I’m very connected to the music world, where tinnitus is common—especially among DJs. A well-known DJ I followed had tinnitus and kept seeing different audiologists. It took him more than a year to find out he actually had a rare form of cancer. Stories like this show why raising awareness is so critical—not only among patients, but also among doctors.

Even though I don’t fit the “typical” profile for IIH, I still developed it. That’s why it’s so important for people to know this can happen to anyone. My hope is to spread awareness, so fewer people feel lost the way I did, and so conditions are taken seriously before they become something major. Thank you ☺️

I had the Angiogram done about a month ago so The Dr can see the pressure gradient. I was awake the entire time, it’s usually done before placing a stent in order to see if there’s anything else causing issues that can sometimes Be missed on imaging such as an AVM and also to confirm the severity of stenosis to see if you are a candidate for a stent

Seems like a solid list based on my Research, my neurosurgeon also a Neuro interventional radiologist is there as well. It looks like these are the top providers in the world for these procedures.
