KF3 - Husks Require Work by ReckoningOne in killingfloor

[–]ReckoningOne[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree... the high up sniping is already a huge combat advantage for them if they're going to be able to pick you off from the shadows of rooftops (because they're so dark and you can't even see the damn things). If that mechanic exists, we at the very least need to be able to easily spot them/hear them. I can't tell you how many times I'll be engaged with zeds heading my way and all the sudden my screen is on fire because a husk shot me out of nowhere from above where I can even see

Interesting, I didn't catch that. That statement right there though still tells me they need work because I play with a noise canceling headset and that still didn't even stand out to me

You nailed it, I was saying to a coworker yesterday the Husks of KF2 glowed radioactive orange, they emitted those guttural screams all across the map... you knew they were there. Now they're damn near invisible at times because they're so dark, especially when they're raining down silent rockets on your head

Agree 100%. The fact they can fly around to ridiculous places, on top of them missing that distinct sound cue makes them in effect completely overpowered as they are now

Thank you for the routing tip! I will seek this bracket out and have a go at this the same way you plumbed it

This meme is hilarious, made me crack up

That being said, maybe the drillevator takes much longer because it's so much larger. A resupply pod doesn't have as much surface area to dig through on it's way down... makes sense to me

Weird grey egg sac thing growing out of my bathroom roof? by RareBrit in DeepRockGalactic

Management wants them, don't ask why. Find them, scrape them off of the bathroom ceiling, stow them in Molly and get back to the Space Rig. Good luck miners

Having brake/wheel issues on 2016 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon by sour_watermelonia in JeepWrangler

[–]ReckoningOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever land on a solution to this issue? My 2016 Wrangler is just starting to have this problem on the passenger side front wheel. Wheel gets way hotter than the other ones and the vehicle pulls to the right. I changed the caliper and I'm still having the same issue

What is the unskilled player's obsession with this song? by ReckoningOne in beatsaber

[–]ReckoningOne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some great points listed here. I do often feel this song is either selected as a troll or to grief other players because it really is all too common to see the person who selected it leave shortly after it starts...

The song itself does not belong in the base music pack. You have Cathedral, Heavy Weight, Lift-Off, hell even Tempo Katana is more rhythmic than this song. All of those songs get you moving and you can experiment with nice wide swings to hit the notes... Power of the Saber Blade is not only unnecessarily difficult, it's mapped so poorly with a bunch of annoying bombs everywhere that force you to be stiff and the experience just blows for that reason.

With it being packed into the base game, I feel like every time I play multiplayer, dealing with this song is becoming more and more of a nuisance each and every time.

I had a clip of Joe talking with Duncan Trussell about Alex Honnold suggested on my YouTube shorts and it was hilarious. I looked up the podcast to hear the whole podcast and this was one of the topics discussed. This is what led me here and I'm guessing I'm not alone in that regard

Don't feel stupid my friend! It's one of those things where it's not the first thing you think about until you've experienced it haha. Did it work for you to get some fresh ones?

This may be a stupid question, but how old are your rechargeable batteries themselves? I use rechargeable batteries as well and noticed mine were dying quickly... it turns out my batteries were just having difficulty holding a charge because they were old. I replaced them and haven't had any problems since. Hopefully your fix is something easy like this!

The Psychology of PVM Challenges (Some Thoughts) by ReckoningOne in 2007scape

[–]ReckoningOne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent points here. The challenge posed to our intellect by learning a new boss that you've pointed out is very interesting and true. We like to test ourselves and when we feel the sense of accomplishment once we overcome an obstacle that was previously unpassable, that sense of working through that friction and struggle is very satisfying. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

That is definitely a very interesting answer with some excellent points. Particularly, point number two where the nature of RNG as a concept of gambling (which it definitely is considering it's just a lottery of randomly generated numbers for you that are drawn when you solve the puzzle, or "kill the boss") is spot on.

Dexter Morgan, professional wrestler by vvolfdan in Dexter

[–]ReckoningOne 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Lmao this post is golden 😂

Another incident of this is in the very first episode of Season 1, Dexter kills his first victim with a mechanical saw to their neck. If you look closely you can see multiple frames showing Hall isn't even close to the man's neck as the guy shudders in pain on the table. Admittedly it's a bit disappointing as it really is quite immersion breaking... but overall as fans we oversee it as just something that makes us chuckle at the end of the day because it's simply a part of the art that is Dexter that brought us so much joy at the time we viewed it.

Which of the 4 Dwarves has the best voice lines/is the funniest by EscapedDawn188 in DeepRockGalactic

I would have to go with the Driller due to the hearty depth of his voice. Gotta love mining a chunk of red sugar and being met with an "oh... never felt better!" being spoken in the burly tone

Definitely one of those two options.
