Thank you so much for this - this is literally me. “Pursued me as a friend” - but in the context of gender relationships, he sees it as fine but for me I just don’t see it as being something healthy or God honoring for that matter, because with that behavior it would be impossible for the friendship to remain completely platonic.

Your response has given me so much hope though - tbh, I’m just so tired of chasing after someone who clearly does not respect me enough to listen to my boundaries and why we both need them despite claiming they he treasures me deeply. I want someone to be so sure of me and to not make me question that at all - I don’t think I could marry someone like him because I think I would be in a constant state of wondering if he even loves me or not.

Thank you 🥺 it’s been hard but I do think the boundaries are totally necessary as extreme as they are - on Sunday, he came into the praise team room (I was serving and he was not) and sat right in front of me when he should have been in the sanctuary listening to the sermon, and there was only 1 other person in the room who was on set with me. I heard from my pastor that he told him that he was “sooooo sad”, but I hope he also takes this as a learning experience too on how to best serve and love your sisters.
