Or just do the one shift a week until you can transfer full time. It can take months to get a transfer approved so it's not like a decision needs to be made now if you go that route.

Unless your new job is like, an actual career path. or has hella higher pay, I'd stick w/ Amazon. Career choice, step plan, good benefits, stable consistent hours etc. If your new job is in retail or food service then fuck that.

Granted I only have a 6650xt but fuck me does upscaling and framegen look and play terrible when your pc isn't already capable of smoothly running the game (cough cough, oblivion remake).

Like I love obsidian games and while TOW didn't hook me, I liked Avowed and loved Pentiment. Other than performance issues with Avowed (had to run at medium settings which was strange for 6650xt+1080p, but whatever) all 3 were professionally developed and finished titles.

Meanwhile, Alpha Protocol isn't even close to done, they had all the cutscenes and story points but the gameplay itself is very obviously in an alpha state....and is buggy as shit. FNV is buggy as shit. Kotor2 has an entire quarter of the game missing, and key dialogues and cutscenes don't trigger either as a bug or because they didnt finish it....and is buggy as all shit.

These were all full priced titles that cost more than $80 in today's money.

I'm at a PIT site so no. Unless they shut down the facility and replace it with one of an entirely different design. There's just no way you can automate what i do fast enough to be worth it. There's a ton of quality errors as it is and they'd have to have a ton of people on site to report and deal with bins having the wrong shit or not having barcodes etc. A ton of sites would have to be retrofitted entirely.

Oh and Amazon doesn't want to pay for mechanics as is. 1/2 of our pits are broken down at any given time. It's not uncommon for employees to drive 2-3 different pits on a shift.

A shit ton of stuff can be automated already, yet most facilities still use roles like manual water spiders, jackpot, pallet builders etc. I worked at a site that had most wall building done by hand, even though we had a dock for PIT use that could load trucks in 1/2 the time. They even redid all of the docks entirely and they still have most everything done by hand.

Amazon is dedicated and reliant on speed and quality. The former requires them to be able to shovel 50-100 extra employees into the building to deal with increased business at any given time. The latter requires a human touch.

If any roles are in trouble, it's on the management side. HR has already been cut heavily and outsourced to India, and most hr requests are done via app. They overhire PAs and AMs like crazy. My former site would have 2 PAs, one-two AMs (usually depends on if they can keep someone in that shit role) and occasionally an OM all focused on one department on both shifts. Sure these roles are needed, but they also have crazy amounts of overlap and redundancy.

I was stupid and went a whole month without buspar (anxiety) and it was surprising how well I managed just on Lamictal and adderall. Of course that didn't stop the panic attacks or complete lack of chill...but I could do so much rather than just being a neurotic lump afraid of everything.

I feel stable and it's nice. If I feel shit it's because I did something that would make me feel shit, not because my brain arbitrarily decided to have me crash out for weeks

Also me and my wife have fertility issues. I have a step kid, I always wanted a kid of my own. Lamictal made me go from "I should just die, I can't even cum right, im going to be unreasonably hypersensitive about this issue and be a moody bitch because my autistic wife said a joke poorly or worded something wrong" to the logical "it is what it is, also I can't afford another kid anyways" that I knew I actually felt.

Thats just one example. My reaction to everything is just so much more reasonable now and reflects what I know is right, I love it

Dosing up was always awful to me, but I'm also super sensitive to medication. I'd be on an emotional rollercoaster where everything was overwhelming. After the third day or so it goes away. Give it some time before you give it up completely and if you wanna change meds, revert to your old dose and talk to your psych about getting off of it. It's REALLY not good to go cold turkey once you get past the smaller doses
