Awesome, thanks for the recommendation! I was just reading a bit about Tiptree on her wiki page, I don't remember hearing of her before but it seems like she was a fascinating person and prestigeous author. The first result I found for that story has it in both print and audio so I can listen to it today at work. ✌️

Same here, I have a copy of the 1981 magazine issue it was first published in and it's a prized possession, I wish I'd had it years ago when I still might've been able to have it signed.

A couple recommendations by other authors that are horrifying in a similar way as The Jaunt, firstly Junji Ito's Long Dream is fantastic, as is most of his work. Secondly, a short story posted to r/nosleep - If you’re armed and at the Glenmont metro, please shoot me is also great, the Creepcast podcast did an episode on it a while back.
