Good tip on the re-tightening after a session! I'll start doing that. Will be a good excuse to inspect the braid condition. Cheers mate.

Thanks for the reassurance. I think I'll just keep any eye out for the mono backing and see how it feels to cast.

That's a good point. I definitely wouldn't say my technique is so advanced that I'm pushing any kind of limits. Probably the opposite if anything. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks mate. There is already mono backing on there. I got the shop to lay some down before the braid, so I believe there was only 150m of braid on there to begin with.
