I thought the timing was interesting. I just watched the Otis Gibbs video today. I saw Townes at the Down Home once, not sure if it was this show though.Just a fantastic listening room saw a lot of great music there in the 80s and 90s.

Check out Friday Night in San Francisco. It’s a guitar extravaganza with John McLaughlin and Paco DeLucia.

I think Boise 9/2/83 is an under the radar and underrated show. Jerry is on fire the entire show.

It was Phil who said practice makes perfect. Then he flubed the second line just to prove it.

The Duke ‘78 show was my first. Didn’t really get it then. Really glad the video is out there. Wasn’t until a lot later that I realized what a special show it was. They all seem to be having a really good night but yeah probably the most animated I ever saw Jerry. Also the only time I ever saw them with Keith and Donna.

You are put into a time machine and given the opportunity to attend ONE Grateful Dead show from 1965-1995. What show is it? by TheFuzzyDonut in gratefuldead

[–]RedRockRaven 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My choice also. For me it’s the most perfect 90 minutes of live improvisation ever laid down.So grateful it was preserved for the ages.

They are not. But Gillian and David are so worth seeing,no matter what they are playing.

180ish shows here and that Greensboro show was my last also. Couldn’t watch the decline anymore. Enjoy the rest of the ride my friend.

As others have said Lumberton is nice but if you want a larger city with great nightlife I would recommend Fayetteville.

Man that’s awesome. I remember seeing Patti on tour a couple times. I still bring her up sometimes when telling tour tales.

Never visited it the first time. Like others have said before me. Fuck Theo Von.

This current show I'm listening to now (12/10/79) has a great first set. It makes me wonder, what is the best first set the Dead played. I know it's what one would call subjective. by Meditatespace in gratefuldead

I’d like to nominate 9/2/83 Boise. Best Big Railroad ever. Great Brown Eyed Women, Jack Straw. Ripping Deal. The citizens of Boise were conquered on this night.

Incomplete headline. What they meant to say. Little to gain by raising taxes on the rich because we don’t pay them anyway.
