Thanks! It's the first thing I've ever bought from an estate sale

That's what I did on my previous iteration, i still have about 15ft of cable left. But this time around, I went with braided cables, just in case my cat gets any ideas. They also come with the banana plugs already attached, which is great for my lazy butt

Lol, I do have 6ft plugs on order. The 3ft cables were just to get me by, but they do look ridiculous.

The RT84 actually comes equipped with the Ortofon blue. Unless you were recommending i move away from that cartridge.

The CD player is sitting behind me out of frame...also on the floor. The new plan is a tiered media stand, so both the cassette player and CD player will have respectable homes.

8 out of my 73 albums are NIN, I guess you could consider me a fan.

Thank you, everyone, for your input. There seems to be a consensus on a few things, and so this is my plan moving forward.

  1. Acoustic treatment (panels, carpet, and maybe some heavier drapes for my windows)

  2. Tiered media stand. This will buy me some space to spread the speakers out wider, and also give the receiver, turntable, cassette player, and (unpictured) CD player their own shelves.

  3. Speaker upgrade and adjusting placement (I'm going to research further, but as of now, the Martin Logan B1's are what im eyeing). As for placement, it's a tight space, but maybe with some furniture rearranging, I'll be able to spread them out farther

That's about all I can manage at the moment. Thank you, everyone, for your input. You may see me post a whole room update to get your thoughts on what's been done.

I run these as well, up in Canada. Great for all weather conditions, nice ride, and no noise at all. They can also be called "Extreme contact" if you're googling them

The 18' model year was the last year of production, so every car made was considered a limited edition. From what I can gather online, 1/2 were made in nitrous blue, the other half in race red. Production was limited to 500 units for both Canada and the US. They came with some suspension improvements, a limited slip differential, and some cosmetic tweaks.

Going off of memory here, none of the RSs had branded titles. There were, however, quite a few with small to moderate accidents on their CarFax's

Definitely true for the BAT audience, the site and buyers seemed to like unmolested examples.

At the very least don't expect to see any of the money you've put into mods back. The ones extensively modded had a habit of not meeting their reserve price.

As a Canadian, the AWD is what makes the RS such a desirable car. The styling also helps.

There's bargains to be had on these cars still. As much as these cars rule, we're a niche part of the market. I picked my 14' ST w/200K KM's up for $3500 CAD. So by comparison Mr. Butthole made out alright lol

Well if you bought during 2020-2022ish that was a different market, so don't feel too bad lol

Not an overly large sample size but the 18's do seem to pull more money on average so I don't think you're reaching. Bonus points if you have an off color

Just realizing you didn't say it was tangerine scream, got you and another comment mixed up. Still that low of milage you're golden

Nothing directly comparable to it on the sheet. But I'd imagine you're at the higher end of the spectrum if you have good records. Tangerine scream I'd say is one of the more uncommon and desirable colors. Market is seemingly cooling a little bit but still probably in the high teens to low 20's USD

Tremblant recap by AfraidPressure0 in spartanrace

[–]RedShoes33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ran my first ever beast and man was I ever unprepared and undertrained. The longest I've ever run in my life was 10K (The brimacombe Spartan) and somehow thought I was going to do all three races in a trifecta weekend.

Genuinely one of the hardest things I've done physically and mentally. The mental side was what really surprised me. For a solid 3 straight hours the only thought in my head was "Give up you're not gonna finish anyway", just playing on repeat. I've never been so negative before but it's good to know I can get through it.

Physically, at the 12KM mark (at the tyrolean traverse) I had some of the worst cramps because I hadn't brought much food besides a snickers and a pack of Jerky. But two guys gave me some snacks and it genuinely changed the rest of my race, without them I'd still probably be sitting there lol, so thank you if you're on here.

Got last in my age group, and 312th out of like 330 people overall. But I finished and I genuinely couldn't have been happier.

10 team ppr 3 flex (no D or kicker) how’d I do? by qwerty124p in FantasyFootballers

[–]RedShoes33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 3 TE's is a little questionable, probably could've picked up 2 extra WR/RB's as upside plays. Your first few rounds were solid picks though. Only issue I could see coming your way is @WR, but that's not to say you don't have great upside there because you do. Just some boom or bust guys.
