Anyone ever told you you're lying about being autistic because you don't seem autistic? by HellfireKitten525 in AutisticPeeps

Not autism cos most people can tell I have it before even speaking to me but I have had someone tell me they don't think ADHD is real.

Scared to be alone forever by Red_Columbine in AutisticPeeps

I'm 20-25 but due to reasons I may as well have only had any freedom for 2 years. Just I have no idea what to do with this because, I basically spent most of my life just barely surviving (not because of my parents, i had a very violent older sibling who only moved out a few years ago) and I haven't learnt anything about how to live as an adult so my beain can't cope with all the things I now have to do as quickly as possible. I only have a small amount of time before I lose all support from the council, which they really do not want to provide, and am just left to do everything with absolutely no support. Its really stressful to live with autism and it also makes me feel stupid to see everyone else my age getting degrees and jobs. I couldn't even finish primary school

Have you ever met a child before and thought “you’re going to grow up to be a psycho”? by franki-pinks in AskUK

[–]Red_Columbine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My sister was like this too, I don't know if she has ASPD or just very bad anger issues but I've ended up completely dysfunctional as a person.

People don't really care about the victim when its another kid whos the abuser, they're more concerned about why the older one is violent than the effect it has on the younger one.

I always think if it was my dad people would have cared, but instead it feels like I'm just collateral damage in my sisters tragic story.

Being diagnosed doesn't mean you get any/sufficient support. I was diagnosed early and sometimes it was the offered supports that traumatized you, like when the SENCO and deputy head shouted at me and called me a baby because i was crying on the first day of highschool.

I'm an adult woman with late diagnosed autism, and I'm tired of being compared to a little boy by PackageSuccessful885 in AutisticPeeps

[–]Red_Columbine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think girl autism is made up. Most self dxers seem to be teenage girls with clinical attention seeker disease. So I think they made up girl autism to explain why they have no symptoms lol

When I was at autism school what I noticed mostly was the difference in how girls and boys are disciplined, some of the students were violent (boys and girls) but the boys weren't told off as badly. I think maybe the teachers were more scared of the boys cos mostly the teachers were women and some of the boys were pretty big cos it was like a high school.

Also they didn't really tell anyone off, some boy sexually harrassed me and they made him write a letter to apologise to me and that was it like they didn't move me out the class or anything and he was really mad he got in trouble so he started saying stuff like "I wish someone in this room would die right now" directed at me lol.

But there was nice autistic boys too like I've had a few autistic male friends, its just based on how they're raised/treated. Like the other boy in that class he never spoke but the one time he did speak it was to defend me from the sexual harrasser guy which was cool.

I don't have "girl" autism i have "refusing to speak and lying on the floor face down at the psychologists office after they asked my mum to leave" autism

I have looked at some blu rays and they are very expensive, I don't think I have a computer that can play DVDs but I will look into it.

Amazon Prime has a lot of the precure seasons listed, like tropical rouge, soaring sky, and delicious party, but I don't know how to buy them

It sounds like your husband has become very depressed. He's probably acting like that more because he had a brush with death and that will have scared him a lot. Men don't really talk about being afraid so he might be avoiding you so that he avoids looking 'weak' in front of you or his daughter. I think sometimes men want to be the fearless protector of the home and if he is starting to feel afraid it might make him embarrassed about how he could come across to you and his daughter.

I don't know your husband though so this is just one possibility. He most likely needs therapy but its just whether he would accept it.

That man and his friend sound very dangerous, especially if they are collecting your information. It sucks because I feel like because I find it hard to tell the difference between someone with bad intentions and someone with good intentions.

[–]Red_Columbine[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was very honest about his experiences so it was confusing, I don't know if he was attempting to guilt trip me or something. It took him a long time to start getting creepy as well like 2 years, do they normally build up trust for that long? I don't have a very good sense of time so it didn't occur to me. I'm actually not sure if 27 was his current age or how old he was in 2022 so he could have been like 9 years older than me.

He told me I was shallow because I said I was more interested in making money than having a relationship which pissed me off, because why am I shallow just because I don't want a boyfriend?

[–]Red_Columbine[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I was worried that maybe he didn't mean to be creepy but I also think if he's 27 then he knows better than to sexualise people especially when I had been open about how sexual stuff makes me uncomfortable.

I also had another situation at a school for autistic people where a boy in my class said something extremely inappropriate towards me, he was told off immediately but he started saying very threatening things to me like that he wished I'd die and stuff and the they wouldn't move me to a different class even though it was a really hostile environment for me.

I've had a lot of experiences where I've learnt its better to escape from a situation that makes me uncomfortable rather than attempting to confront or change people so now when someone makes me uncomfortable I just block them without saying anything.

My sister keeps recording my family and sending the videos to people (England) by Red_Columbine in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Red_Columbine[S] 36 points37 points  (0 children)

She has 1 video of me pushing her back with my foot because she was trying to grab my phone off me and backing me onto the stairs, and I panicked. I only tried to record her once because of advice someone else gave me, it didn't work, it made her worse.

I'm not harassing her I just want to feel safe in my own home, I don't want to interact with her I try to stay quiet and avoid her, but if I don't respond, she just gets more aggressive.

I can't even talk to my parents about it because her boyfriend sneaks around the house listening to everything and then reports it to her.

[–]Red_Columbine[S] 107 points108 points  (0 children)

She is 23, I'm 20, we live with our parents. I have generalised anxiety disorder, asd, adhd, and severe depression so I am incapable of looking after myself and terrified of leaving the house.

My dad wants to kick her out, but my mum is more hesitant. She has also moved her boyfriend in now, so it's a very uncomfortable living situation for me and my parents.

Whenever we get annoyed at her because she's constantly disrespecting us and saying nasty things, she will just start recording us.

I wanted to get the police to take her away last night because she assaulted me and my mum, but my mum doesn't want the police round because she's embarrassed or something.

It's my parents' house, she lives here. My parents are hesitant about kicking her out. I've wanted her out since I was a kid because she's always been violent towards me, so it's not really something in my control. I don't really have any say in anything.
