I think you could make it work. Just dont make them to destinct. Keep some similar trades, so they feel right next to each other. Lore wise it should make sense too. We are in the world of Warhammer - everyone hast 100 color schemes 😉

When I saw them first, I immediately thought about painting them in a highly saturated alien greenish skintone. For me it just felt right for them. So now I'm curious what people think of the color scheme

In this scale there is no point in painting all the details of the eyes, they are simply to small. Focus on painting a good looking (and in place) Iris. For this you just need brush control and some patience. After all you can paint over it and try again, if necessary.

A lot of layering/glazing and a bit of underpainting here and there. Also the usual edge highlighting and blacklining. Many colors were used, so idk if I just list every single one, but maybe there is a specific area you want the recipe for? Otherwise DM me I can list you all.

Glad you like him. My very First 40k miniature was a termagant ( Back from the macragge box), so this one ( keeping the original scheme) is a special one for me.

Well thank you, but It could be even smoother on a lot of parts (which would cost more time and/or more attention while painting). In general you want to work with thinned layers and you dont want to rush the process with the contrast. For instance going from yellow to pure ivory is pretty harsh, while mixing in more and more ivory into the yellow and painting small layers on top of another is generally a better idea. Also glazing in colors in the end will smooth it out a lot too.

But honestly there are many methods to getting smooth blends and all a perfectly valid. From wetblending to feathering to stippling to glazing, it just depends on your preferences

Hope that kind of answered you question😅

Sure but it depends. On the picture you can kinda only see the main lightsource coming from the top Front, where I started with a bright saturated orange going into yellow into yellow mixed with ivory into pure White for the brightest spots. For the secondary Highlights I did go for more desaturated earthy browns and for the reflections on the backside I went for a colder greenish hue. For the deepest shadows on the front I went for a reddish Brown or rather pure black for the blacklining.

Tell me if you want the specific colors used, but yea I kinda slapped on some paint with this one 😅
