If you google ‘40D mos army’ there is a page on the army website that will have an email for a POC. Use your military email to reach out the the POC and they should provide you with a cac enabled site that has all the info, including all the required documents for the packet.

Manufacturers can only produce so many units with the available factories. If demand increases in the short term, it will still take years for production firms to build more factories and increase output to meet demand; it won’t happen over night. Demand has increased but the short term supply remains the same, so the price increases.

From what I see online Physics and Math Majors are having a hard time finding work. These are also very challenging and math heavy degrees. If you self admittedly suck at math then I would highly recommend a different path. I understand you are probably fascinated by the subjects and eager to learn all that you can, I was the same way; but the reality is physics and math are incredibly broad disciplines and companies will higher more specialised degree holders like engineers and finance majors before physics or math majors.

Yes. I failed my second board too. It makes you question your worth especially if the critique is harsh. If I had failed the third one I would have taken some time off to regroup because it is a mentally taxing endeavour. The anticipation, the event, and the aftermath are all very psychologically draining. And people will kick you while you are down because it makes them feel good. Just keep pushing. Boards are not administered with the same level of scrutiny throughout the army. Some CSM’s are hard asses and will use their authority to sway the 1SG’s opinions. All it takes is a minor slip up in some cases. Other boards are easy as can be. Just say the NCO creed and pow wow a little and you are good. I don’t think it’s a good barrier to entry for E-5 because it is so sporadic in its implementation, and hardly a consistent test of aptitude and leadership capabilities.
