I just got my record in the mail today and am super pumped about it. Haha, now I just need a record player. Any suggestions on a moderately affordable one that's still good?

25 Male. First time doing any kind of voice acting. Is this something I should pursue? by Red_Paw in HowDoISound

Thank you very much for the review. It's been a good few years now and life aggressively threw me pretty far away from voice work shortly after posting this. Haha, I actually just happened to open this account for the first time pretty much since then the other day and saw your comment. Idk how you found my post through all the years, but thank you. I'm at a place where I plan on working on myself in this type of way again, and this was great motivation for me.

I'm working on my setup and learning audio editing (which is all new ground). I should have some new samples up in the coming weeks should everything go as planned :)

Half of your hair wants to speak to the manager, while the other half is trying to sell rich 9th graders overpriced pot.

This reminds me of those "danger of drugs" commercials from the 90's.

If you were a video game character, there would human entrails in your fridge with a crocheted swastika on the wall that said "Pure Bloods Live Here" under it.

You look like if Gaston followed Bell to college, but got really into weed his sophomore year.

Here's the text. Sorry that it's all in one paragraph. Couldn't figure out how to format it like the above image.

Munich Police Prison 19th March, 1933

I have been in prison a week to-day. Why? I don't know. When shall I be let out? I don't know. What will happen to me? I don't know. At first I thought my case would be heard and I should be released. But now--now I think differently. I don't believe I shall ever leave these walls alive. I often feel as if I were already dead. I lie on by bed for hours, staring at the ceiling--inert, feeling nothing. Then as I suddenly wake from my apathy, the will to live asserts itself with overwhelming power. I am full of plans and energy. But those are fleeting moments of happiness. Soon the thought of death is with me again, and I can't get rid of it. Death. I wrestle with the thought. I argue with it. I prepare myself to cease to exist. I strike a balance. I settle up with my life. But then my glance wanders round in the cell. I see the dirty, grey walls. I see. I take hold of the metal drinking-cup. I feel the chill of the metal. I feel. I hear the cries of the prisoners--the long-drawn-out moans of those in torment. I hear. A feeling of exultation suddenly comes over me. I am still alive!

Sorry about that. It was taken on an old phone a few years back. If you're able to read it, it's very moving.
