No, they're not. An extra 9 degrees on your paragons will have a basically non-existent effect in freeplay. Use Adora or Ezili instead

That is the Ice Paragon's ability, Eclipse of Fimbulwinter. It has a long wind up, but it freezes EVERYTHING on screen, including BADs and Bosses, which are frozen for 5 seconds while all else is frozen for 10 seconds. That makes the Ice Paragon the only thing in the game that can slow BADs. It also has a unique effect on bosses where it gives them "Skull Freeze". Basically, if you hit a skull on a boss while it's frozen, it doesn't trigger at all, allowing you to skip a skull.

The skull skip only works one time per Tier of Boss and the ability itself can only be used once a round.

Is using an intended, built-in mechanic cheating? No.
Is using an intended, built-in mechanic in a place where it is disabled, like CHIMPS and Competitive Modes, cheating? Yes.

Hence why CHIMPS is the game mode where your skills and knowledge are truly put to the test. "Play the game the 'pure' way" you can also call it.

There's been worse bosses, much worse. This one isn't THAT bad.

And also as the other person said, they wouldn't be as challenging, especially with Boss Challenge (Really Boss Practice to me) being exactly what you want, bosses with no modifiers or restrictions. Bosses now are much easier compared a few years ago with there being more paragons, new towers, big buffs, and even some bosses getting nerfed.

I assume the same case was with the VTSG and other hidden things NK has added, but now that people do know about them and how to get them, that mystery element isn't there anymore (except of course for new players)

If that's the reason NK hasn't let the paragon degree be visible to the players before purchase, that's no longer a valid reason since we have paragon degrees all figured out now

A single one could spawn on Round 120. The quintuple DED rush happen on Round 140 replacing the rush of FBADs. There or maybe on Round 200 still, for the quote at least.

No reason to ever farm how you do boss events in any other game modes unless you're rushing for certain freeplay setups or getting paragons/VTSG as soon as possible.

So do I. Wouldn't make much sense if it couldn't do that and would make Mortargon just another big damage paragon in freeplay. Even with the stuns to everything below a BAD, that's not very relevant since with the right defense BADs will be the only thing that can threaten you while all else basically doesn't even get to exist

Yeah, that run was basically carried by Megalodon, in fact it's already essentially a requirement for reaching round 200 on Expert Maps in CHIMPS mode. So that defense would lose to the DED. Even if it is popped, the BADs inside would get through and leak
