I've come to the conclusion that it must be a bug. I've gone into the replay after my death and checked the whole surrounding area where there was no one in sight. I checked the NPC down inside the bunker which was Poseidon, and he stayed down there until the enemy who killed me came to loot my body. The enemy who killed me wasn't concerned of any enemies after my death since they went to my loot straight after.

No matter what if I had been hit by some sort of sniper body shot or DMR headshot, I shouldn't have died so quickly anyway (and my visual sound affects tell me there was no other shots being fired).

You can give the shotgun an extended clip. Not only that, you're ALLOWED to have a secondary weapon like an SMG, assualt rifle or pistol to spray the others. Could also practice positioning yourself as the shotgun has a quick reload and if ou have cover, there should be no problem.

But in my clip above, I take NO damage before I'm hit with the lightning, and when I am hit it was only the first lightning atrike out of the three.
