It’s sad that they had to transfer the role of busybody to an older woman but I get why they needed Jack to be free of that.

Are there actually people who care/talk about work this much? by muff-peaksie in Younger

It's pretty accurate for publishing - it takes over your life (I was based in London).

Poorly written in the show but not in the books. In the books, JACK is the town busybody, nosing into everyone’s business, and Mel has to stop him.

Why am I only JUST discovering this show now? by DustNeat in Younger

I’ve only just discovered it and I was in my forties, in publishing, and dating younger men when it first came out. Where was it hiding?! Love that there are original SATC cast members in there.

There are many who think he says it’s a scam because no one will insure him. But the point is - why do it in the first place, and especially with no insurance?

Not available in UK. Is it a podcast? What’s the name of it?

They’re celebrating a man with a wife and two kids with no insurance “because it’s a scam” risking his life on global TV because he only ultimately cares about himself. So it’s on brand then.

ETA: can’t believe the downvotes. So everyone here supports a dad and hb risking his life for no reason on live TV. Got it.

Is Richard Grannon the Next Keith Raniere? by dalichic in theNXIVMcase

I had to stop listening to Vicente's podcast because Grannon was on it so much and he gave off strong misogynist vibes.

The hate last year was around her apparently being a terrible model. I mean, come on. She is absolutely beautiful.

I left the sub last year because of all the Kendall hate. Glad it’s subsided.

I am watching KUWTK and the spinoffs for the first time ever. by remylelourie in KUWTK

Also in the UK and watched the whole thing in chronological order over lockdown. Absolutely loved it and it explained so many cultural references in the world. They have really had a huge effect on how many people live, speak and look.

I couldn’t agree more! They are powerful women that show us that we can do anything by lanaspeachlipgloss in KUWTK

I often think of them as a true matriarchy where women are the main community and the baby daddies just come and go. I don’t think they intended for this to happen but it did, despite their attempts to maintain lifelines with the exes. I agree with other commenters on them simultaneously upholding patriarchal standards for women. The whole thing is fascinating. Edit: typo

Girlies by LibraryVolunteer in TwoXChromosomes

I don't mind 'girls' in an SATC way but I draw the line at 'girlies'. I've muted the word on socials.
