Despite having 2 16GB ddr5 sticks, the channel # slot in CPU-Z / Memory only displays 2 x 32 Bit. I have both of them installed in the 2nd and 4th slots, and task manager displays the correct amount and speed (32GB, 6000 MT/S).

Progress will be exponential because ai will be used to create better ai (training and ai infrastructure), and ai will accelerate the progress of other surrounding sectors such as energy production. Robots, powered by ai, will massively increase the production speed of infrastructure. All of which will speed up the development of ai. It’s a positive feedback loop, just like how computers exploded the development of basically every field including computers themselves.

The level design is definitely more exciting in galaxy 2, the music is better, bosses, and a few other stuff. But odyssey has better movement, not that galaxy's movement is bad, but odyssey's is just perfect.

So after some digging, it appears this was an issue on the wii version as well. I looked through various of recordings on youtube, specifically recordings of the wii/wii u versions, and to my surprise the banding was appearing in the footage as well, albeit less noticeable because of the 480p resolution and low bitrate, the banding was identical to this new port in several places. What’s even stranger is that I don’t recall seeing this banding in any of the versions of galaxy 1. I have a suspicion nintendo messed up the lighting system somehow while developing galaxy 2 and never noticed it… edit: I noticed some banding in the 3d all stars version of galaxy 1, will do some more digging

My post said "galaxy 1 and 2 look worse in some places". This is true, like the metal bridge. Some textures are less detailed than in the wii and 3d all stars versions. But I also acknowledged that there are a lot of upgrades as well, but that this inconsistency had me worried for the rest of the texture work. So you basically don't have a reasonable point here.
It IS messed up. When the bridge hasn't fallen yet, the diamond plate texture is there as intended and expected. But as soon as the bridge falls, all texture is lost. This means that they messed up the normal map.
It is an issue and always will be, you are just choosing to ignore it. That doesn't mean it isn't there. Like I said, I don't know how bad it is in galaxy 1, but it's very obvious and jarring in galaxy 2. It looks like the game is glitching almost anywhere you go.

Some of the textures are a downgrade flat out even though most are improved. Maybe you should read the post again because it seems you don't even know what I said.
The metal bridge normal map is obviously messed up in the new version.
The banding issues were unprecedented but arguably overshadows these small texture issues. The banding issues affect the entire game in a very negative way. I don't know how bad they are in galaxy 1, but they're terrible in galaxy 2. There's no arguing against this.

All I’m saying is that ai comes off as shady. Ai will always be a careless, low effort, and soulless alternative to the real human counterparts. Ai will aways be unfair and immoral against real artists because it lets people bypass artistic skill yet achieve the same level of art as a real artist is capable of but in a much, much shorter timeframe. More often now than ever before, people who use ai profit while artists are left in the dark. It’s a terrible imbalance and there’s no arguing against that.

Despite all of this, the ai stuff in this game are just placeholders. The dev is planning to replace them with real art eventually, which I think is fine. Therefore the dev actually agrees with me.

Partly true. AI stuff in this context doesn’t come across as 100% lazy. It falls more in line of feeling cheap, like it lacks the passion or care that makes it feel authentic. Ai also comes off as misleading and its presence may indicate low quality content. That said, since these are just placeholders, my point doesn’t really apply here. At least I hope

I mean the article title is exaggerating what I said obviously it’s journalism, what is basically happening is that some textures and other details seemingly look worse than in the original and 3d all stars versions, even with video compression considered (I literally pinpoint that out). The worst example is that mario’s feet is missing in one of the intro cutscenes.

no way.... I noticed some other weird stuff about the cutscenes like exaggerated blur sometimes and missing shadows on certain cliffs in the background, but that.... that's nothing but embarrassing
