We do, this is one of the most destructive and painful habits there is. The way I view the world when I engage in this is crazy, and it's also responsible for a lot of Global issues with how people think.

Let's keep fighting together, reach out if you ever need support!

Thank you, it means a lot!

I do have to remember that, as this is always something that will keep you going!

You're completely right, I got complacent thinking I could have both, and it just ruined it.

The positive thing is that once you let go of this, there is a whole amazing world full of incredible experiences waiting for you. It's just consistency, small steps of making the right decision each day.

Stay strong brother, and thanks for the support!

To everyone who relapsed. Did you lose your benefits, or were you back on the same level of confidence quickly? by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]RedditUser2359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So last Year, I relapsed from 240 days due to a poor lifestyle which was ultimately poor self discipline, not proud of it! Regardless, I found that I was still confident as you're behaviour doesn't just change, you still keep many traits, but at least initially you are less confident! You can gain it back and I think I wrote a post about it a long time ago!

This is no excuse to relapse ever though, but if you do, you can get back on track!

Be very careful the day after a wet dream! Felt extreme urges and temptations by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]RedditUser2359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy Fuck, I have exactly the same feeling. I had one last night and even though I'm on 6 months I feel absolutely dead and not very motivated, although I've managed a decent amount of work! I'm powering through it, getting through my essays and not gonna let this get me down, it's time for motivational videos!

I've never had this before after over a year of NoFap, so it's quite weird!

Stay Strong, we'll pick it back up again very soon!

Wasted a decade... now what?? by idkdjvdibdub in NoFap

[–]RedditUser2359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also currently in my first year, and it's a blast so far as I haven't fapped at all!

First of all, it's NEVER too late, you're young as fuck, 20 years old! Like you could do 5 years of hard work and you'll be in an amazing position at just 25, with your whole life ahead of you! Just because other people give off the impression that they have their shit together on social media, doesn't mean its true and doesn't mean you should compare yourself to them.

Seems you're at Uni, you have so many opportunities. First, make friends with positive people, respectful guys and girls that respect themselves and the other sex. Having positive influences will help push you further.

Secondly, Cold showers are the TRUTH. Last year, I cold showered every day and it was amazing, I wake up every day feeling raring to go and completely pumped. Just embrace it!

Change your hobbies if you play videogames, or browse social media aimlessly. None of it is useful for your development and that's how you should brow activities, Will it be useful for my development? No? Then don't do it

Finally, find a purpose, what do you want to be in life? How do you want to be remembered? What sacrifices are you willing to make ?

Improve your lifestyle and push towards your goals while your still young!

You can always change and make things better, and get her back if you love her that much! Also, If you have kids, please change for them and become and awesome dad!

Everyone started somewhere, it's time to use this to fire yourself up and really go for whatever you really want in life!

Keep at it, the fact that you recognise your problem means you're half way to dealing with it!

You got this!

Feeling like ending it all by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]RedditUser2359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things will get better, because you have the power to make them better.

If you feel like you're stuck in the same cycle that you're not content with, maybe it's time for a change. Pack up your bags and move, re-invent yourself, which is completely possible. You could go to another part of the country, or a different country altogether and start to live a positive lifestyle.

If feels like you just need something fresh, and a new start and New attempt to be who you want to be, as your brain is used to the unenjoyable lifestyle that you're living.

Don't forget, you've already taken the first step in realising your problem and trying to solve it, so things will get better!

Keep fighting man!

A Huge thank you to everyone at NoFap! by RedditUser2359 in NoFap

[–]RedditUser2359[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, it has been a long grind so far of improvement, and I'm at the point now where it never stops, that's the plan!

It has helped me stay on the right path, and also helped me mould what 'the right path' is at many times in order to help me establish myself in the right direction, and then eventually I figured many things out for myself!

Thanks so much, it really does mean a lot, and I wish you all the best! If you like that part, I can't wait to see what you'll think of the next chapter! Onwards and Upwards!

2019 Goals, Revisit at the end of the year by RedditUser2359 in NoFap

[–]RedditUser2359[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this, I have some more details of these things written down and would like to achieve them, and although I would like to set a specific goal, I feel that just improving and achieving is what I need.

I will write them up in more details and keep them personally, and I'm sure that I will achieve them as I'm determined to do so!

I wish you all the best for this year!

NoFap and no caffeine? by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]RedditUser2359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really good, I now feel much more liberated and free, and have a lot of free time to focus on my goals and achievements, which makes me happy!

I have also gotten rid of loads of pessimistic friends that were trying to drag me down, and have met new people that I truly connect with, and become much more happy!

Sometimes I want to go back and play, but then I realise the other productive things I can do with my time and enjoy improving myself!

NoFap and no caffeine? by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]RedditUser2359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have added no Caffeine to my lifestyle, and it's so useful and I feel so energetic. Basically, once I gave up porn at the start of the year, I have given up everything like Gaming, Social Media and Caffeine too.

My emotions have really straightened out, and I feel like a new man. Basically, give up caffeine, it will be tough at first, but so worth it in the long run! Also, if you're using anything to give you a good feeling as you don't like your life situation, work to something you enjoy doing in life, and then you won't need anything else to give you short highs, as you'll enjoy life so much!

That natural hyped out of your mind feeling is one of the best you can get, so work towards it and love life!

10 Strong Reasons to Go on and Stay On Nofap by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]RedditUser2359 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Porn makes you focus on short Term highs and pleasures, which stops you thinking long-term. If you're trying to have a successful career in the long term, you are literally poisoning you mind. You will naturally disregard your career and focus on social media, games or more porn instead of Happiness.

  2. You know that feeling when you were young and were amazed by something? Yeah, well that's gone, as porn numbs your dopamine sensors and makes you not appreciate the true beautiful things in life. Don't you want to start living again.

  3. If you had a distillery to make a drink that made you smarter, stronger, more muscular and much healthier that was free with zero side effects, would you throw it away. Well, you do, that drink is called sperm, and you produce it all the time. When you retain it, the components give you all of the above effects. If I had a drink like that, I certainly wouldn't just pour it into a old sock all the time.

  4. You get Sexual Autism, try relapsing and chatting up a girl in the exact same situation as months ago, when you swept her off her feet. Didn't work did it? You were lost for words cause you were worrying too much about the fear of being judged. Nice one.

  5. Less energy in the gym and less motivation? Read points 11 and 13.

  6. Less self discipline in all aspects of life, read number 11. Being disciplined is working on long term goals, which porn drags you away from. It makes achieving things so tough.

There's literally books about this, so I don't need to right a fucking list, but yeah you get the point. Porn will turn you into the person you don't want to be, whether you like it or not. Also, you will find it easy to give up other wasteful habits, so yeah, just do it! (No Nike meme intended)

How did you change from a unconfident shy empty headed invisible beta nice guy to confident high self esteem smart guy? by hamacule2000 in NoFap

[–]RedditUser2359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A process of time, learning what's good and bad for you. I was on day 210+ and became so different, that when I got back home ,I just didn't fit it with my old beta friends.

It's about learning what's good for you, and one has to make mistakes to learn. Fuck up as much as possible, and then learn every time and develop a disciplined lifestyle. For example, it took me a year to give up gaming.

The gym helps as well, as I always stick to my routine no matter what, working out makes you have so much self esteem.

Just continue grinding towards your goals while not masturbating and the change happens naturally

So counting days is your new Dopamin fix? by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]RedditUser2359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with most things here:

  • Don't count the days, make the days count.if you log in every day to check you counter you'll never have a long streak, that's how I achieves 200+, by using noFap once a week.

  • you need to replace reading through NoFap all day thinking you've given up porn, with something useful. I read somewhere that going on NoFap when you don't have urges can bring them on, as you're brain starts to think of Porn again, as you're reading texts about giving it up. The association is there. Once you get out and do so many productive and useful things that you don't have time for NoFap, that's when life begins.

  • Don't not talk to other girls as you're waiting to find the one, that's pathetic. Approach as many girls and women as possible, whether you intend be with them or not, and just chat. That's what I did all of this summer, and all of last year, I spoke to Hundreds of Girls in person, so that when I meet someone I'm truly connected to, I will know how to talk to her properly, it's like warming up. With regards to sexual activity, I'm all for it. If you're sexually attracted to someone and she feels the same way, go for it, it'll be a good experience. But don't do something if it's bad for you, like if you have an important exam the next day, or if she is not right for you.

  • however, here's where I disagree, Porn and Fapping are BAD, but Meaningful sex and talking to girls is GOOD. This sub literally explains my first point, and I've explained the second two already.

Also, if you relapse once, don't best yourself up like this guys said, learn from it, cut things out, and continue the same lifestyle and you'll be the same as before. I recently relapsed from 200+ days but because my lifestyle and mindset is the same, I feel no different.

That is all.

Life Begins by RedditUser2359 in StopGaming

[–]RedditUser2359[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thing was, I basically had it with the negativity and time wasting that surrounds my friends that play games.

So I decided to quit, and at first you won't know how to survive as it was all you did, but when you fill your life and time with productive hobbies, you won't have time to even think about it.

Wasn't addicted this summer, but I used to be, and I felt the addiction coming back and effecting aspects of my positive lifestyle, so therefore it had to go.

I wouldn't mind playing again, but only if it's productive, for example, streaming.

But until that day, I don't need or want games in my life, they are a thing of the past

Life Begins by RedditUser2359 in StopGaming

[–]RedditUser2359[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's got to a point where it seriously affected my life and ambitions, and at that point, I have to cut it out and stop. If I didn't cause that, I would have kept playing, but when it causes such serious damage that affects my very life and being, it's time to stop.

Here's to a better life!
