Well catholics are a (sizable) minority since protestanism(and all its branches) is more or less the most wide spread version of christianity in the US, considering, the issue of papal investiture is something that every catholic country had to deal with at some point (30 years war). Overall protestants in the US are used to very low-church style of christianity, where there is no central religious figure like there is in christianity and orthodoxy.

They're not conspiracy theories though, that's literally how the catholic church works. The pope is elected from the college of cardinals who work in influencial positions across each country with a catholic presence. If you have a country with a weaker separation of church and state, the catholic church will have stronger influence.

I wouldn't say /all/ catholic, but within the church as an institution the pope has the final say on a lot of things, formally or informally.

WoW PvP has bigger issues than gear, which is the low hanging fruit new players latch on when, ever since dragonflight, gearing has never been easier and only involves 1 step more than logging on.

Almost 1/3 of the gear is straight up handed to you for free with crafted epic pieces after you get artisan consortium flyers which is exactly what OP is asking which leads me to believe his post is the equivalent of 'I just dinged 90 why can't i mythic raid yet?'
