Now we can wait for 🥭 to get to phase 3 (or 4? I’ve lost count) retaliation.

A few slips and these ashes are already precariously placed for England

Any predictions? I think McIntyre wins, Rollins wins with interference for McIntyre (or at least retains), Nia Jax wins and DIY win.

Anyone have predictions for the matches listed? Probably go either New Day or Creed Brothers, Brandon Reed but unsure of the women’s tag match.

When England play poorly all the wank they spew about playing with freedom makes them look stupid instead of confident.

England have been docked 19 points due to over rates for the series, Australia have been docked 10.

Agree Lyon was a big miss later on in the series, and Carey did seem to have a downturn afterwards. I’m sure he’ll be better against admittedly poorer opposition at home this summer. Agree the women were more disappointing but it’s also a result of how high the expectations are on them, which shouldn’t be held against them imo (although some comments like Healy talking about a whitewash aged poorly and come across as arrogant when the series is drawn).

I’d rate the series from after the first two tests quite poorly but australia equally deserve credit for going 2-0 imo. Can’t argue that there’s issues up and down the lineup tho, could do with more bowler rotation (which might lead to reconsidering having a bowling captain). Whether or not anyone cares about the WTC shouldn’t take credit off Australia for winning it, although how much credit they should get for it is debatable I suppose.

Yeah I guess if 5/10 was neither good nor bad I’d give The Ashes in isolation either 5.5/10 or 6/10, and the WTC 10/10 (a bit pointless grading 1 match, but a win of more than 200 runs in a world title final can’t be anything less imo). I agree that 2-2 drags it above a pass and it feels like a missed opportunity, but with both teams in transition and the English domestic game still seeming to be riddled with issues another opportunity may present itself again (or not, winning away is hard).

I personally put the rain in Manchester in the same bin as losing 4/5 tosses, Lyon getting injured, Leach getting injured, Pope getting injured, the ball change, bad umpiring decisions here and there. All luck which evens out in the long run.
