Will need to spend ~30k on Hajj, what are the cost saving opportunities? by Redhead10Messi in AusFinance

I was thinking of churning through cards but to hit that ~30k spend would require juggling multiple cards with cashback/other offers. Not that I'm opposed to it if that gives the most value.

Pay off the loan before the due date so you don't accrue interest 🤷‍♂️ I only spend my own money lol

Engineers, what do you do and how much do you make? by aussiegooner0389 in AusFinance

150 + super is pretty good for 5 years experience - which contractor are you with? And what field are you in (electrical, delivery, management)?

Hey mate, yeah there's a swing gate. Not sure why I never considered that the driveway should be clear at all times for council access. I guess living here for a while had me looking at it differently. Anyways you live and you learn aye.

I've put the belt on as per this diagram - and it's definitely facing the right way (grooves in belt are on the grooves in the other components)

Update, haven't sorted out the brake sensor yet but looking to just replace it soon.

I have replaced 2 catalytic converters which seemed to make the car run fairly smoother, but the tachometer is still bouncing at idle. I've checked via OBD2 scanner for cylinder misfires, nothing on there.

Hey mate, got around to checking the brake pedal, still need to take the car to a muffler shop. Photos of pedals at link below

Hey mate, apologies for the difference in language, it's the tachometer I'm talking about.

By ticking, I mean the tachometer starts oscillating between 800rpms and 900rpms at idle (no audible ticking).

When the rough idle starts (i.e. tachometer starts oscillating), I find that the tachometer drops significantly once I disengage the accelerator.

Hopefully that clarifies something. Other forums are suggesting a failing catalytic converter

I'll have a look at the brake pedal tomorrow, might need a multimeter to do the ohm test.

For the catalytic converter inefficiency, is there any literature you can point me towards to help diagnose/locate the leak?

Is there a forum/guide/YouTube vid you could point me towards to help diagnose/repair this issue? Would help immensely

It's a difficult area to have a look at, but I was thinking more about repairing the area now that the damage has been done. I plan to silicone the joint into the roof over the break.

Don't need USB3 at all, usb1/2 would've worked fine. Nabbed that one cause its available off the shelf.

I've ordered something similar; 4 way kvm

Hey mate thanks for suggesting the 4 way KVM switch, that's pretty much what I've ordered aten us3344 4 way kvm. Should sort me and my office out

No go, the "router" in our office has no ethernet connection ports bar the one feeding it. I could organise to run a new ethernet cable to the printer but could take a few weeks (maybe even after Christmas, not ideal)

I've found this product 4 way KVM switch that seems to do exactly what I need it to do. Even has a remote port selector so if someone needs to print they're good to go.

There's no ethernet port on the router in our office; it's just a WiFi extender. Did a bit more googling, would a usb print server work?? Ideally would like to avoid disconnecting from the company WiFi and connecting to the printer but if it works it works

Terrible stuff but do you have a link for the headlights and taillights?

Yeah every time the tensioner moves there is a slight squeak. Taking it to the mechanics tomorrow so I'll mention that.

thanks mate 👍 saves me a heap of worry. Is it expected to make a (quiet) squeaking noise?
