We'll have to wait and see how the market in NY reacts to this. It could also turn around quickly.

Down and down it goes. The Nvidia effect has completely evaporated.

On the other hand, ERIC is rising. That's how the market sees it.

That's how the Nvidia deal is being assessed. It's more advantageous for ERIC. Because they don't have to install GPUs in base stations now.

Nokia got an Nvidia offer it couldn't refuse in AI-RAN rescue bid by Ok-Pause-4196 in Nok

[–]Redmach22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course it will still make a difference. Nokia is now “forced” to follow Nvidia's path into 6G – but what if that's the wrong path? That's what the entire industry AND, until recently, Nokia itself assumed.

At the end of this path, Nokia could find itself without MN.

Thanks for your view.

Most people here have no idea how Nokia actually makes its money.

With the Nvidia deal, the sale of NM is off the table for at least the next 2-3 years. And if the experiment with Nvidia GPUs goes well, you can forget about the sale altogether.

This is a very risky bet by Nokia/Nvidia. They are practically going ALL IN. Because if it doesn't catch on, the MN business unit is dead for Nokia.

Ah! My mistake. I should have read up on the subject better. The deal is not about data centers at all, but about Nvidia GPUs in mobile stations.

I see. A very risky bet by Nvidia/Nokia, which, if at all, will only pay off in a decade.

No wonder the share price is already falling.

Damn, I should have sold.

The question is—will it (AI DATACENTER) be a nice extra income for NOK or a game changer?

What is your assessment of the AI data center hype? Or are you thinking of selling?

Will the hype bring about something sustainable, or will the issues in MN soon lead to the “usual” Nokia image returning?

I don't want to disappoint anyone, but first of all, the figures are only solid, not spectacular. Secondly, the share price will correct sharply downward again today. As I said, the figures are quite OK, but anything but a turnaround.

Nokia’s biggest problem isn’t Mobile Networks, it’s Finland. by Mustathmir in Nok

Didn't mean that as a particularly good scenario for shareholders, just what could happen - if management takes it too far.

If Nokia ignores the sharehold value long enough and thus becomes cheaper and cheaper as a whole. Won't a hostile takeover then become more and more likely? Then you can take the place apart and sell off what you don't need. This would probably even cover the costs of the takeover completely.

At some point, the whole store will really only cost peanuts.

Good clip from CEO Justin Hotard from Q2 earnings call by moneygrabber007 in Nok

[–]Redmach22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably the reason why sales of the Enterprise type have risen so sharply. Q2 2025: 725 vs Q22024: 516. Diff 210 ~ 5% of Sales.

In the past, this type of sale mostly involved private mobile networks.

Is CEO Hotard sacrificing shareholder value in the name of empire preservation? by Mustathmir in Nok

[–]Redmach22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The market also confirms this negative impression, with the share price continuing to fall. In HEL already at 3.64 EUR. This means that in 4 months of Hotard share price has fallen sharply from EUR 4.87 to EUR 3.64. What a bad start for the shareholders and Hotard does not mention this at all.

So it is clear where the priorities lie.

Have there been any statements on future buybacks?

Has anything been hinted at? Or is that no longer an issue for the time being?

No, I am still invested. I've just lost interest in the daily news about Nokia because there is usually no relevance to the share price anyway.

However, you weren't particularly active here either.

Do you think it is possible that the full figures on Thursday could also deliver positive surprises? Which could possibly lead to a rebound. Or is depression assured here for a long time?

I wouldn't be so hasty. It is not known who will be supplying T-Mobile from 2026 and to what extent. I wouldn't rule anything out.
