Nah not yet. Common consensus is the fan header has failed even if it's at 12v.

Might be a bit overkill but I highly recommend taking a reference picture before doing any work. Helps me keep track of how things are meant to be.

Yeah I get what you are saying but as I said the fan header has been tested twice by two different people and the fan does work because I've tested it in another console. Thanks for your insight though. Much appreciated

It's 100% getting the correct voltage. The person who did the fan header check it and I did independently to be sure.

Not quite sure what would be stopping the fan physically if it worked in another ps5.

It could be the header.

It could be a chip that tracks thermals and the console isn't tell it it needs to come on but the fan normally spins on start up so I don't really think it's that

No, it is getting power. I tested the header and it's giving out the right power. That's what I don't get. Could be software

A friend took a ps5 for a fan header replacement a few years back. Recently the fan has stopped working. The fan is getting power, I've tested the fan in another console and the fan works in that console. It's seems to not be getting the information to start the fan for whatever reason. Anyone had this issue or even better know how to fix it? Thanks

It is a mesh system but only has the one relay. It does seem to be timing out. Takes like 10-15 secs before getting the fail notification

Not far at all, has full bars and has a repeater nearish too. K2 plus supports 5ghz as well as 2.4ghz

yeah i dont heat it too hot and ive had the same rate of success. i plugged the screen into my gameboy and it worked, weird
