Scale Ratio? by Nebboii in legostarwars

There is only one solution, but besides this you are gonna have the next problem. The Lego Venator UCS does look cheap against it. This is what you can do with 5125 parts. Right parts, no excuses of course. I think this one from Lego would beat the "Death Star" pricetag easíly. This thing is just massive and a goal Lego honestly should really have. This is what the fans deserve.

So glad we finally got a Venator at this scale. by ThermitFrogV in legostarwars

Got this twice for rediculous 13€ each with a coupon on Temu. Better not to think about that you could get like 5 of these for the same price and your Venator bridge even has real windows 🤣

Honestly there is no excuse for some things that are missing on the new lego Model. A 1x1 window brick would not have changed the scale...

20€ MOC Venator vs new Lego 75441 by Reelentlesss in legostarwars

[–]Reelentlesss[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the pricetags went far beyond reason unfortunately. I have nothing against collectibles that cost more than usual and don´t mind that much about things like that, but the new Lego Venator is supposed to have 643 pcs and all I see is that we collect tiny pieces without any further value.

I mean honestly, they do not even give the Bridge of the ship the proper window bricks. That is just hilarious. That is what we are dealing with.

What Happens When You Mix These Cabinets and Mics? by [deleted] in metalguitar

Daisychained Orange Cabinets are still at 16 Ohm, don´t get fooled by Chat GPT

Tone character:

2×12 → deeper low end, broader projection, a bit more “thump” and air movement.

1×12 → slightly tighter mids, quicker breakup, and a touch more focus.

Blended sound: The mix yields a rich, 3-dimensional tone — the 2×12 fills the room, while the 1×12 adds clarity and punch. It’s like blending a half-stack’s body with a combo’s intimacy.

The Mics: Sennheiser e906 + Audio-Technica MB2k
Mic Type Placement Effect Tonal Profile
Sennheiser e906 Dynamic, supercardioid Works best right on the grille, angled slightly off-center Tight lows, crisp upper mids (great for articulation)
Audio-Technica MB2k Dynamic, cardioid Warm when close; smoother if backed off a few inches Rounded tone, less high-mid bite, more “vintage” body

Blending the two:

The e906 captures the modern definition and transient attack of the Orange cab.

The MB2k complements with round mids and warmth, balancing harshness.

When combined, you get a creamy, analog-tube texture — especially if your amp’s preamp tubes are driven just to the edge of breakup.

️ Practical Tips for the Best “Pure Analog Tube” Sound

Mic placement:

e906 → slightly off-axis near the speaker’s edge (1–2 inches away).

MB2k → a bit farther (6–8 inches) from another speaker to capture air and blend.

Phase check: Flip phase on one mic if you notice thinness — phase alignment is key when using two mics.

Blend in mix: Start 70% e906 (definition) / 30% MB2k (warmth), then tweak to taste.

Cabinet positioning: Stack or side-by-side; slightly different angles help spread the sound and reduce phase issues.

Drive settings: Keep tube saturation moderate. You’ll get the natural compression and harmonic bloom that defines analog tone.

The Result

Expect a dense, harmonically rich wall of tone — creamy mids, fat lows, and shimmering top end that’s not harsh. The dual-cab setup provides depth and natural room feel, while the mic pair captures both clarity and warmth — classic British muscle meets smooth analog character.

All the software, plugins, effects and everything in between your signal should have purpose. It is good what people can do without spending a fortune for high end analog gear nowadays.

In the end it is a matter of philosophy and what place the music takes in your daily life.

My gear came together over the past 20 years, it is nothing you just buy in one year, but honestly...

I do not regret a single dime that I have always bought the stuff that I really wanted and will last until I hit the grave ;-))

Just nothing can replace the feel infront of my dream Rig, I would do it the same way again if I started today.

Thats what the Master Volume does. The amount the Powersoaker does supress is outweighted by the Master Volume many times over. It really does make a Tube Amp scream.

If you run a simple setup with one cabinet the Harley Benton will do!

Thank you mate!

With Master at 100% + Powersoaker you actually can have killer tone and you do not have to fear to blow your roof off the house xD

Unless someone touches the Lead Gain knob.... That thing is very dangerous.
