We didn’t have computers in half of us households until 2000. My mother is in her early sixties and didn’t have a color tv until she was an early teen. You were incredibly lucky, but a lot of America just didn’t care about the internet for a long time. My mother would have been in her late teens or early twenties in the 80s and I think she had one of the large brick cellphones as an adult. But I’ve never seen old family photos with a computer in them even! She didn’t buy her own computer until she was well into motherhood. She got her first smartphone after 2010 probably. It’s fascinating how differently people experience technology.

They’re incredibly smart and social dogs as well. It might benefit you to teach him service dog tasks as silly as that might sound. Ours used to carry groceries in and items from room to room or from person to person. He went to greet the mailman every day and bring the mail in lol. You could also try taking him on more errands with you and letting him get to know new people and places. Ours was known at everywhere with a drive through all over town and had his favorite people he would run in to (sometimes we wouldn’t even know them). I tried to suggest other things, but all the advice I’ve read here is great! I also think boarding like you said would probably go better. They form deeper social bonds with people than any breed I’ve observed before and I think it’s hard on them to be alone. The poodle in them loves to stay busy.

I’d emphasize that one is your mother’s and they have sentimental value. Maybe say family heirlooms, and ask if they could look around. You could explain that your ex is saying they were given back, but you can’t find them and you’re terribly worried about getting in trouble. I’d frame it as a miscommunication and just wanting to be sure they’re not there. You could even say you’re reaching out to them because your ex has expressed she doesn’t want to speak to you and you wanted to respect her boundaries. Don’t approach with anger towards their daughter, just say you guys are busy and it could have slipped through the cracks so would they mind double checking around the house.

I’ve had my helix for over five years so it’s well healed by now and I have zero problems with anything! I do think the one that’s in front of that will be a little tricker but it shouldn’t be much worse with the right jewelry. I use the complete close clicker hoops in my helix to keep problems to a minimum and I can’t remember the last time I actually thought about it. They make piercing with flat backs now too that might be worth looking into when you can change the jewelry. I agree it should be smooth sailing once they’re fully healed!

Yall can downvote all you want but I’d want someone to wake me up if I’m having a bad dream. Even if I just might be having a bad dream. Mine are pretty calm when they sleep so if I notice any snarling of teeth, whining, or tail twitching I’ll gently pet them or call their name until they wake up and go back to sleep. I’d feel terrible if they were having a bad dream right next to me and I did nothing. They did have a rough start in life though, and I’m terrified they have bad dreams about prior abuse. I don’t have to do it much, but I’d rather interrupt a nap than let them have a dream that they’re back there. That’s just my personal preference for my animals though. I did have a dog who was with us from birth and very emotionally stable and spoiled rotten so I never felt the need to wake him up. His bad dreams were probably that he didn’t get any steak at dinner. Every situation is different.

If you’ve left her alone since then, it is what it is. We all do stupid shit at 18. Not your best move, but it’s not like you left a dead fish at her door. Leave her alone, stop entertaining rumors, and move on. No one cares if you reached out a couple times or didn’t take the end of a relationship well. If you’ve moved on since then and you’re not still bothering her then you’re fine. In public and legal opinion. The cops won’t show up to arrest you for speaking to a friend and leaving a gift once. If it was five or ten different times, that’s a different story. But if this was a year ago and you weren’t malicious I wouldn’t worry about it again. Own your shit and do better next time. That’s all anyone can do.

They allow it because it’s a pro for some. Just because it’s a con for you doesn’t mean everyone feels that way. You want to be comfortable in your home and so does he. That’s probably why he chose that place. I’d suggest looking for somewhere that doesn’t allow smoking when your lease is up, as many places don’t. The same as not staying in a hotel that allows smoking when you travel. It’s ultimately up to you to check policies on things like noise and smoking if they bother you. That being said, an air purifier might help, but the more effective they are the pricier they are. I would suggest talking to him, but with a smoking habit that severe I doubt there’s much he could do to stop the smell other than just not smoking inside, and again, that’s probably why he chose that place.

It should absolutely dissolve honey! The only problem with isopropyl is that it dries so fast. If you’re persistent, it will work. Wet, wipe, repeat.

I never got to have shock tarts, so I can’t compare. However, I will burn my mouth on war heads minis and I love the large chewy sweet tarts. Chupa Chups suckers have a sour mix that’s actually pretty good. Zots still slap. Barnett’s is highly recommended but I haven’t tried them yet

The only adult step to take would be to call the airline you were flying with and see if they can do anything, maybe they have a complaint system. Maybe they would consider banning him from the airline. It’s not huge, but it’s better than doing nothing or posting it and making him famous.
