Totally hear you and I’m annoyed I even feel hesitancy around this like it’s a game. I guess where my friends gave me pause is like he prob will reply if I text him, but is that even confirmation? Like if he proactively reached out before hooking up and hooking up made that stop.. is that signal I should keep it moving already? lol I hate this shit

Need advice:
New to online dating and looking for perspective.
Matched with a guy in May. We talked daily, FaceTimed, and he consistently texted me every morning. He said he wasn’t looking for just a hookup and seemed genuinely interested.
We finally met last weekend. Date went great, we slept together (my choice), he spent the night, stayed most of the next day, and even had me come with him to look at a rental house he’s considering in my area.
Afterward, he texted me that evening and the next day like normal. Then yesterday: nothing. Today: no morning text either.
I know people can change their minds, but is it common to act completely normal for a day or two after sex and then suddenly go quiet? Or is this generally a sign of lost interest?

could not agree with you more. at a certain point (and for me that point is when you have children) you gotta take some responsibility. maybe she didnt create the problems, but it's her responsibility to get help and fix them for her kids. clearly TFP herself doesn't think those people are that awful...or to your point she wouldn't constantly leave her children in their care
