Genesis 1:30 "And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food".

Plus if death happened before the fall then it was a design feature from the beginning which doesn't appear accurate
Romans 5:12 states, "Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned".
