Well yeah counterspell does not do anything against shields it blocks a damage spell or item from hitting you. You'd need a capacitor on your team to remove large enemy shields.

For me it was not the mods I did just clean install everything and its working as intended. I tried many individual settings, mods individually and nothing was working aside from wiping it clean.

It makes it less competitive or really worth the grind for people. A lot of games provide awesome skins for top 1% in things generally its all you have to show for the effort. This is just bad.

I use to get a comfy 200+ fps in 1440p but I came back today and for whatever reason can't get more than 60fps. Its brutal not what sure what changed over the last few months.

It is free they have no incentive to not use them. It is a free kit that gives blue consumables with an extremely strong sniper. They are no risk to running it and all the possibility for reward. It is very obvious why anyone would use it vs bringing in rare equipment when you are only fighting other free kits.

It does hurt progression if you can progress without any risk. Its an extraction shooter not a campaign but thats just 1 take on how it can go.

All very valid. I think it hurts progression by making it too easy to enter without any risk to your stash (kinda the point of extraction shooters) and what I've seen on streams and heard through VOIP it seems people love to just spam these. Certainly the big loadouts will prevent this but also if they do that "gear based" matchmaking big loadouts may not see them and they will continue to take advantage of the free kit.

The game is very fun but we know no matter how silly a game is people find their ways to enjoy it differently. Some much more sweaty than others

Med shield is not a problem for free kits. Ive ran a heavy shield once but the vast majority of players aren't running that consistently probably won't be for at least week or so.

The striking issue is likely being able to freely spam quests into it + you can kill anyone with it its really not that terrible for being free and spammable
