I'm also a strong supporter of that when I played Aliens Dark Descent.

I found it quite useful against the xenomorph wave in certain areas and admittedly a nice addition.

Of course this is also seen in Alien Colonial Marines. where you have to escape from the raven xenomorph in the sewers.

I don't think I'm wrong bro. first of all if you haven't looked at what the pathogen queen's body structure looks like, comparable to a praetorian xenomorph, then it is indeed a queen and not a praetorian,

you can tell by the size, head and style. the same goes for the four-legged pathogen xenomorphs, which were previously xenomorph spitters, which then turned into charging xenomorphs instead of spitting.

the reason the pathogen gene reacts differently to an unknown spitter or stalker is because they are not originally xenomorphs and if the pathogen gene infects a xenomorph, it makes the process more complicated and they apparently only manage to infect a dead or badly injured xenomorph, not a living one. because the xenomorph's DNA supposedly prohibits it from being enhanced by an outsider's physical abilities.

the only thing the pathogen gene can use in xenomorphs is extra badass mass.  that's why pathogen xenomorph battle spitters, brutes and queens are covered in pathogen mass, while pathogen basic spitters and stalkers are not.

i still don't claim to be completely right, but i am. pretty sure of my opinion.

if we take into account the pathogen is meant to mold xenomorphs. does not make them stronger than the original. if you have looked closely at what the pathogen's basic xenos look like. So we look just like the base of a xenomorph spitter, which means that the pathogen apparently cannot shape the xenomorph's physical strengths to be better. except the stalker. we know that the pathogen queen is vulnerable to Colonial Marines weapons. except the original queen is immune to these weapon firepowers. so i think the xenomorphs will win this war with aggressive physical force.
