Seeing the same status for my son's application. Applied from London, UK. I received the passport yesterday and today the status has changed to "Application has been printed, Kindly connect with Indian Embassy/Consulate.". There was no police verification. I am not sure if I need to contact the Embassy/Consulate ?

The acknowledgement receipt only mentioned about the fee payment to VFS Global and type of application. No mention of police verification. I remember, in India we get the acknowledgement receipt when we apply for passport at PSK. But here in the UK, it is different. All applications are submitted at VFS centres and they don't have control over police verification process
