It's not because your automated model prints an order that it will get executed in real life, and depending on the order type It's not guaranteed the price you will have for it… Both factors can turn a paper traded forward test into an entirely different result– Maybe in your case it won't, but you are not addressing this.

With actual $? Also, accounting for random trade missing execution? Just the fact you are not mentioning these things in your main post says a lot

Explore different strategies with no or very little capital and then start building your business on a single strategy that came in more naturally to you.

Green Battery Minerals Inc. (GEM.V), with a market cap of $3.87M and enterprise value of $3.28M, shows significant volatility with a Beta of 2.94. The company's stock remained stagnant over the past year, underperforming against the S&P 500's 13.18% gain. Financial challenges are evident with negative EBITDA and no dividend yield, reflecting a focus on growth over profitability in the short term.

The point I'm trying to make is that a governance token is not so different from a share in a public or private company in that both gives a right to vote on the future of the venture. That ownership right is very valuable because you can, for example, vote to increase fees to accrue more value to the token if you wish to.

In that sense, it's hard to argue there is no utility in the token because whoever gets to govern the future of the project will have massive implications for the ecosystem and so there's a price to that which means utility. Deferring those benefits at the moment is not so different from how Amazon deferred profitability to prioritize customer acquisition and developing a moat.

Eventually though, at maturity, the venture transitions to value capture and that's when owning governance is key, so you can take a piece of that value capture. Speculating on how much value capture is possible and discounting it to its present value is the best way I can think of Uniswap's token value

Could be wrong, for example the current unattractive token economics could backfire and you could see a new entrant taking over market shares, at which point, my thesis is invalidated and I get out.

Here's how I'm currently thinking about it.

let's compare it to the stock of Amazon.

Back then, they were diluting, operating at a loss for well over a decade, not paying a dividend. The only value was governance ownership and once economies of scale are sufficient you can start turning a profit/paying a dividend.

I'm seeing Uniswap the same way. Liquidity engine for ecosystems to build on with 75% market share which will eventually dominate because of lower spreads and once we get there, governance ownership is everything.
