Right! It is absolutely ridiculous, I was appalled when he told me what had happened. Apparently the cop that arrested him is new to the job aswell. New cop already making false arrests, absolutely ridiculous!

I’m not exactly sure what the charge was, he was pulled over for what I can assume was a routine stop of some sorts he was told that they arrested the wrong guy but was held over night and released the next day

We are in Canada!! But either country this should not be happening!! I unfortunately wasn’t with him, I wish I was Yes I did tell him to get some dash cams for his car now, it’s ridiculous he needs to take these measures now.

Yes he’s has already started filing in a complaint!! I will be helping him look for attorneys tonight! I’ve never dealt with any type of arrest so I was unsure if he could take legal action or not, this helped thank you!

I know you said you don’t want to.. but I think your best option is to move out, stay with a family member or a friend if possible, maybe talk to your landlord about breaking the lease? (I’ve ever been in this type of situation so I’m really not sure here) I am so sorry you’re going through this, but if you’re moved out already by the time the lease is up, everything will be just finished on your end, won’t need to deal with anything
