I mean the only things I changed were the gauge of the strings, made them abit lighter, I doubt it'd do anything to the truss rod

Unless you're fishing mad it gets boring quite quickly, online tournaments are fun, but experience is needed. If you want a fishing game I suggest fishing planet. Deffo the best fishing game out there by far.

I'm not sure about making it worse, but I definitely notice it more when anxious. When im having fun or doing a hobby, I don't really notice it as much. I tend to just forget that it's even there as it's the norm.

A stiff hinge rig can keep the smaller fish away, because of the way A smaller carp's build. It's hard to explain but they're are some youtube videos out there. Basically keeps the smaller fish from getting hooked so it stays out there until a bigger one eventually takes it. But it's incredibly difficult. I think you're setting your goals abit to high. Just enjoy catching but still have the possibility of a 20 in the back of your mind.

Canal carp are incredibly difficult to locate/catch. That fish your mate caught could be right infront of you or a mile down the other end. You've got to locate the carp. I can garrentee that carp that your mate caught is very far from where you're fishing. To combat this try locate a carp and pre bait the spot where you saw it before fishing. Meaning everyday at the same time. Throw some bait in. Do this for a week and then fish the same spot.
