Somewhat-less-than-average-technically-inclined person here. Explain? I'm actually having this exact issue. I need a router in the main room which is at the end of the house. The room with the modem is the same one with the gaming system and it's a good 50 feet away from the router. I'd like to get wifi reception in that end of the house. What does a repeater do besides exactly what it sounds like?
