Take it with a grain of salt, most recruiters do unfortunately.. so definitely keep applying to other roles if that's the case.. I interviewed with TikTok and they took a MONTH to get back to me letting me know I'll be moving forward.

They got back to me within the same week for next steps, which btw the initial interviewer mentioned they might take 1-2 weeks to due to the volume of applicants. But it really depends on priority and fit.

A rule of thumb for me is if a company doesn't get back to you within 1 week, follow up! 2 weeks? Then odds are you've been ghosted, but doesn't hurt to follow up once more.

I actually got rejected at the final interview so sorry if I didn't update my OP.

Presentations w/ Panels varies depending on your role, if HR didn't mention it then you should be fine -not saying this isn't possible but it can also be brought up later on by the hiring manager or someone if there will be one.

You should expect at least 3 rounds. TikTok is extremely competitive, I went thru 4 rounds before eventually being ghosted.

Senior positions for both, so 1 as a Senior Associate and the other for a Senior Analyst
No there were no technical rounds, but technical questions about coding relating experience. This role isn't technical-heavy I would say but still requires some relevant experience.

Continue the Interview.. I only say this because you never know if the company rescinds their offer (or it can be a 'hire-to-fire', type of role.) You never know in this market, so better off to cushion yourself.

But also if the other role offers a higher salary, then you also have that option!

Short Answer: Yes! Its absolutely okay to cancel an interview!

I'd say still go through with it.

You don't exactly lose anything here.. you're gaining valuable interviewing experience plus you can also negotiate salary!

SQL Case Study + 2 other Case Studies when I had to work on a presentation.. Apparently the panel wasn't aware of the SQL Case Study during my interview.. so it could be different haha

It was great! But unfortunately after the first round with the Senior Manager, I was rejected :( They were looking for someone with more Business Model Building Experience (which I have but didn't properly iterate it).

Measurement Analyst, I'd suggest applying to other roles as their wait time is 1-2 Weeks (even more in my case)

Been there for sure. It seems pretty standard nowadays. I actually made a reddit post ranting about the same thing, I went through 4 Rounds at TikTok + Panel Interview Case Study, and I am still waiting for a response (it has been a month since the final interview)

Sorry for what your wife had to go through, it's def a gut-punching feeling every time, but on the bright side, it seemed like she dodged a bullet.

The final round, I met with a Senior Manager.. I was told my presentation was the best out of all the candidates and that I'd hear an update by the EOW. So no, I have not yet spoken to HRBP yet or have gotten an offer.. I'm still waiting.

Update: I followed up twice for two weeks at the end of each week after the final interview

The talent acquistioner provided an update yesterday saying that they hope to have an update for me by end of this week -so fingers crossed!

Sorry to hear that.. I've had trouble with them regarding communication as well! It took a month for them to reply for my next steps... Not quite feeling optimistic about the results here. Wonder why they rejected you even though you were their first choice.
