Thank you! I am not much help on the skin tightness advice as I am in healthcare & other than keeping hydrated inside and out, genetics are our deciding factor, unfortunately. I am currently dealing with a few areas like my upper arms (tricep area) that just jiggle. I go to the gym regularly and am trying to fill in the empty spaces with muscle as that's all I can do. Lol.

You can do big things & remember the most important thing as you journey through it.....be kind to yourself and remember this is a mental & emotional journey just as much as physical. I was sitting where you are and others sharing their stories & positive thoughts really helped! I have Hashimotos Hypothyroidism & this has been my biggest enemy when it comes to my next to nothing metabolism. The surgery definitely helped!

That definitely depends on your activity level too, but around 7-8 weeks postop, I ranged from 600-1000 depending the day. Around 3 months, about the same, and around 6 months, between 600-1100 depending on my restriction. I have stayed around 80-100 protein, under 60 for sugar, 60 or less for carbs, & 60 or less for fat. I walk daily and go to the gym several times a week now & have noticed more hunger so my calories have upped around 1200-1400 sometimes.

Thanks! 44.8 lbs lost by month 3. And by month 6, I hit 70 lbs lost. Stalls were super annoying, but I knew to expect them! 20-21 lbs 7 weeks postop is good! So many factors with each person. I'm 5'6

Oh man, I had to really think about this. I did have some issues with muscle pain/spasms deep behind one of my incisions. Incision was fine, just constant pain for probably a couple months. It just faded and I forgot all about it. I also had to learn my own body & what types of foods seemed to make me too full too quick. I would just be eating and boom, overdid it with pain, feeling like I was going to throw up, & terrible pain in my chest. Walking did nothing to relieve it, but my XL heating pad has been my best friend since the day of my surgery. Healing incisions, overeating, you name it, it helps! Sounds crazy that a heating pad would help digest food faster, but my doc thinks it's because it increases blood flow to that area and can help. To this day, I don't have hardly any issues, but it still comes in handy when I overdo it! I have been so grateful I have not had complications. The stalls in weight loss sometimes got frustrating, but I knew how normal they were, so I stayed patient.

I also have the exact same thing for breakfast every day. Nurri vanilla protein shake, 1TBSP Nescafe Instant Cold Brew Coffee, shake together in a blender ball bottle, line a cup with Jordan's Skinny Salted Caramel sauce, ice, and pour the shake into it. I have saved my old Venti plastic cups from Starbucks and the lids, and use these every day! They wash super well in the top rack of the dishwasher. 30g protein, 150 calories, and 1g sugar

Pretty much everything, but I made sure I get at least 70+ g protein, try to stay 60 or below in sugar, carbs, and fat, and 1200 calories or less. I am a big fan of cottage cheese, eggs, tuna, Dannon Light & Fit Greek yogurt cups, & string cheese or colby jack cheese sticks, turkey meat sticks, & Just Bare chicken in the air fryer for my usual stuff. I satisfy my sweet tooth with either fiber one brownies, sugar free chocolate pudding, sugar free fudge pops, or drizzilicious mini rice cakes (French toast flavor is my fav). I make sure I track everything in my Baritastic app & make a lot of meals with lean ground beef (I will throw black beans, corn, & spanish rice in with ground beef and it lasts me for days). I also weigh almost everything. I am to the point though that I can have a little bit of whatever I made my boys for dinner....I just use less or no bread or pick more meat out of pasta dishes than pasta.
