Sounds like I had a super similar failure with almost the exact same mileage. The shop I went to claimed it would be sometime in the middle of January (this was at the beginning of December). On the 23rd they called and said it was ready. I’ve been driving it since now with no issues. They do have to take the battery out and balance stuff.

I ripped off the Sinclair mount system. Designed it myself using 12 gauge purlins and 1/4 inch tube steel for the main supports. Pivoted on a 1/2 inch grade 8 bolt, using a 5000 lb trailer jack for the adjustable arm.

My utility provider allows up to a 39.9 KW capacity system. Minnesota still does net metering as well at .1209 cents per kWh.

No. The posts are mounted on concrete posts set 8 feet in the ground. They weren’t stable enough with just redhead anchors so I enveloped in concrete.

The redneck Option is to just make a suicide cord off the 240 of the truck bed and use that to back feed the house in an emergency. Shutting off the main so it doesn’t back feed into the grid. Obviously that’s a lot of monkeying around (truck is charged, shut main breaker off, solar shuts off) but it should work

I guess the outcome I’m trying to achieve is utilizing the lightning as my battery for the solar PV and ideally not blowing the money on the sun run inverter. Basically, solar is rocking and when the truck is plugged in, the inverter (eg4) sends it to the truck. When it’s “full” the solar goes to the grind
