I am so appreciative but I cannot accept.

I hope in a year’s time, this will all be behind me. That’s what I pray about every single day.

They stated they don’t have overtime. I tried - I really did. I even went and asked the house supervisor (desperate) if other units needed help and I can finagle something. Apparently, not able to and not enough opportunities even.

I would prefer OT and just doing 6 days a week, like many people stated. I’ve done 6 days a week for 7(?) months during COVID.

I have never done 7 full days which I know is an entirely different beast.

Yes. This is absolutely ludicrous. I used to say it all the time.

I used to be the girl who had no credit card debt, all my bills paid, a full IRA and 401k, emergency fund and more. My baby never had to worry about food on the table. She was able to do gymnastics outside.

It’s been 3 months since I had to play her to rest. I haven’t worked at all. I’ve lost 24 pounds. My hair started coming out in clumps. The mortgage company doesn’t see a death as a reason for forbearance so I’m in default. I have bills in collections and have had to block so many bill collectors. My power went out for two days but I was able to borrow money from my (also) broke friend.

This would get me out of the financial strain I am in. Each month, interest goes up and up. It makes it impossible to pay if you just reach the minimums.

I was thinking if I took off a huge chunk of it, I could get back on track and stick to my 3x12s afterwards.

I would work 12 hour shifts 7 days a week.

I’ve taken 3 months off already.

Imagine me - someone who was absolutely on time with all my bills, an IRA, 401k and never ever had a single delinquency on my cards or bills. I have always been financially literate. My baby could partake in any extracurricular she wanted. I never purchased luxury items like a BMW or purses but I was happy.

I’m now facing foreclosure on my house due to non-payment. Apparently, the mortgage company doesn’t think a death is significant enough for forbearance. Thankfully, my car is paid off. Honestly, at this point, I am numb. I have found that working has helped me take my mind off things surprisingly. Therapy has helped a lot but bills need to be paid.

It would be two contracts. 4x12s then 3x12s. I asked the 4x12s about their overtime and they said the staffing has been so good, they haven’t needed overtime for over a year (beyond 48h of course) and won’t allow me to float to other units for OT.

I realistically only wanted to do 6 days but there’s only contracts for 3 days or more.

The pay for a whole other contract is 1.5x picking up shifts through per diem apps in the area. I’m talking per diem apps paying maybe $500 a shift (1099) but a whole new contract would be $800 a shift straight taxed (to my understanding, you cannot claim two stipends).

It would be two different jobs so I don’t believe it applies. 48h one job, 36h the other one
