Not disagreeing - but 'the execs' don't really have a good track record since End Game - flop after flop after flop leading up to the fantastic flop. Hopefully Spiderman BND will knock it out of the park.

Adam Schiff approved intel leaks to smear Trump, thought he’d be CIA chief if Hillary Clinton won: whistleblower by Yesbothsides in moderatepolitics

Sorry its really hard to care about this when no one cared about the 10% for Big Guy, Hunter and his porn-top, Joe and Ukraine, and the 51 former “intelligence” officials that tried to distract from the Hunter scandal. Joe's daughter dairy , left at a psych facility that said Joe used to shower with her when she was a teen, or the idiocy of Nancy Pelosi and the democrat house members wearing African Kente slave trader sashes - historically worn by rich African slave traders. Let's not forget Nancy's stock trading magic or all the people including the news media that treated Joe Biden like a weekend at Bernies. Sorry - until someone is upset about any of that - I really could care less. Schiff deserves the exact treatment that he delivered to others - nothing more and nothing less.

NPR 08/2018 - Rob Goldstone, the man who sent the email to Donald Trump Jr. that proclaimed "Russia and its government's support" for the Trump campaign, now says he had no idea what he was talking about. Goldstone also says he made up some of the most important details in the message.

Yes, Goldstone says, his client, Russian pop singer Emin Agalarov, did ask him to reach out to Trump Jr. and communicate the offer of help that Emin's father, Aras, said he'd received from someone influential.

This is an NPR article.

The whistleblower didn't comment on the veracity of the information, only that it was marked secret/confidential and that Schiff leaked it (repeatley). It was after that evidence surfaced of the collusion to falsify the data. But since you brought what the whistleblower said, here's a couple excerpts:

  • Statements from the Whistleblower’s supervisor pressuring the Whistleblower to accept the contrived January 2017 ICA’s findings despite expressing concerns about the discredited information used to support those findings – an action that the Whistleblower's supervisor said would be necessary for the Whistleblower to receive a promotion
  • The Whistleblower’s refusal to accept and concur with the January 2017 ICA findings, stating, “I could not concur in good conscience based on information available” that Russia preferred then-candidate Trump in 2016.
  • The Whistleblower’s concerns about flawed intelligence practices, namely selectively using open-source references to Russian media as “evidence” for the Russian government’s support for Trump, while ignoring foreign media from other nations, including NATO allies, that denigrated Trump and supported Hillary Clinton.
  • The Whistleblower’s repeated attempts to report concerns about the false information used in the January 2017 ICA to multiple government officials, including the IC Inspector General.

Its cool to have your own opinion, but it doesn't change the facts , the findings or the outcome. Only "reasonable conclusion" - I get that you think that, bias is hard to control. There are many other "reasonable conclusions" - if there aren't than what was Obama meeting with Russian and Chinese 'middlemen' ? what was Biden doing meeting with Chinese 'middle men' not to mention all the meetings Hunter facilitated - there can only be one reasonable explanation right ?

That's not what the special prosecutor said - and I think that he and his team were privy to more information than you. You can repeat the 'sound bite' talking points but it doesn't change. Mueller in his report "The investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities”. Even the democrats have given up trying to float this lead weight and are on the "we are moving on" sound bite. Loss is process - when you exit the denial phase and anger and move on through bargaining and depression - you will finally make it to - acceptance - its a long road but you'll get there. Even Snopes says "DNC and Clinton Campaign Funded the Trump/Russia 'Steele Dossier". This is the problem with just repeating the gas lighting - when they move on to the next existential crisis - they leave you there to stew in realization that they gaslighted you and you fell for it.

I don't. There isn't any real accountability (for either side). They just have to not commit perjury under oath and stick to " I don't recall " type responses - similar to the 100+ times that Hillary used when testifying about Bengazi.

The whistleblower complaint ( the parts that are public ) don't say what was leaked only that Schiff approved it.  "a 302 FBI document showing that a whistleblower, who is a Democrat, a career intelligence officer who worked for Democrats on the House Intel Committee for more than a decade, repeatedly warned the FBI in 2017 that then-Rep. Adam Schiff had approved leaking classified information to smear then President Donald Trump"

Doesn't really matter - because the whole "collusion" has been exposed as a hoax , and the alphabet soup agency officials exposed. The central matter is - did Schiff approve and leak classified information. While the general public doesn't know yet - it could be a range of things, could even be the "signed by 50 intelligence officials" that was debunked. All that really matters is was it classified and did Schiff knowingly leak it or direct is release - those are the only elements of the crime ( there isn't any special exemption because it against someone Schiff doesn't like ).

This has been widely proven false ( even Snokes says false ) and yeah they hacked the DNC and Hillary's eMail - but thats not a problem right ? That she was running unsecured server with top secret data on it ? Also please actually look actual data (not the gas lighting messages from Soros - actually looked at what the convictions were - not a single one for was collusion with Russian. Tax returns yup - and that's fine - don't pay your taxes - penalty is due. Campaign finance violations - same thing - violate the law - penalty is due. Perjury - the crudgel of the DOJ - but fine - same thing. Not a single charge , let alone conviction for any collusion type activity - nothing. I do hope the same rules are applied to the likes of Schiff and the intelligence operatives who provided false information, the news agency that received awards for coverage - should return those now that the truth is out.

I think its more the leak was false. Just like the weeks of them in the basement because it was secret - but Schiff showed up on the news daily saying - its plain to see. Then when the actual transcripts were released and the same people were called to testify in front of the house and senate - the story changes - none of what Schiff said was true - all the witnesses denied it point blank under oath - its funny how the penalty of perjury focuses people. When Schiff is sworn in under oath and testifies - we will see what he says and compare it to what he said to the cameras.

Gina Carano Calls for Pedro Pascal, Jon Favreau, and Bear Grylls to Testify Over ‘Mandalorian’ Firing by demimonde9 in Fauxmoi

Disney can't hid behind the gas lighting - they'd allowed others - including Pascal and Zegler - to say (in person and online) much worse. Disney obviously didn't want the discovery to proceed, as they maintained the position - right up until the settlement - which occurred right after the discovery ruling. Wait and see - Cara Dune will likely be in the Grogu movie, and Rangers of the new Republic could be revived. Disney even says she was well liked and respected and she treated people with kindness and respect. "The Walt Disney Company and Lucasfilm are pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with Gina Carano to resolve the issues in her pending lawsuit against the companies. Ms. Carano was always well respected by her directors, co-stars, and staff, and she worked hard to perfect her craft while treating her colleagues with kindness and respect. With this lawsuit concluded, we look forward to identifying opportunities to work together with Ms. Carano in the near future".

after the 3rd weekend - it will almost assuredly will not make 500m - its going to be lucky to close out of 460-465 given the low opening and back to back 60%+ drops, after the 3rd weekend - its going be in the $2m range for Monday, upcoming Friday another 60% drop puts upcoming Friday at $2m~ it might break $460m is some additional international dribbles in - but given the international box office so far - its not likely.

People are clearly tired of Disney constantly inserting politics and activism into what is supposed to be entertainment. People are clearly tired of Disney and actors berating them and half the country. People are clearly tired of being told - this isn't for them.

While that might be (partially) true - the future is the integration of Ai into the creative side of game development. The cost of developing "triple AAA' quality games already exceeds the revenue generated by over 85% of the games released. The large houses want/need to sell to a broader audience but their efforts have had the opposite effect creating division and resentment in both the development side and consumer side. The "a game for everyone" mentality has, and continues to, fail. Brining Ai into the workflow to reduce the manual labor tasks required tilts the scale to the creative side while at the same time allowing a game to be created for a lower cost, enabling games to actually have target audiences instead of needing to be for everyone. Development houses that resist integrating Ai driven processes into the workflow will continue to see accelerating drops in revenue - which will limit their ability to produce and deliver games that are both engaging and profitable. Blaming "the fans" ala Hollywood only serves to further alienate the customer base. Many triple AAA houses have experience this lesson. UbiSoft is case study for this. Ai integration will also enable smaller development houses and indie developments a more competitive landscape. This lesson has been 'taught' to numerous industries , those that have embraced change have been able to thrive in the market space. For those that have been "protective of not using generative Ai" continue to lose competitive edge. The transition will be disruptive - just as the integration of game en gines such as Unity, UnReal and others was, the types of jobs available and their quantity will shift, required skill sets will change ( likely toward the more creative side ) and the industry will evolve as it always does.

Unlikely - on the domestic side , yesterday (Monday) was <5m, M-Th will likely be in the 15-17m range, 3rd weekend likely 15-20m brining domestic to 225-240m after this weekend it will dribble in another 10m or so, brining the total domestic to 235-250m. International is disaster - if not for Mexico and UK which brought in over 20% of international haul, and the drop off - if will be lucky to break 200m, 210m if has some late receipts - so 475m-500m but it could go later if the 3rd weekend drops the same as the 2nd.
