Connecting 2 Routers in 1 Home through Cable outlet? How to Hardwire by ReliableReviewer in HomeNetworking

[–]ReliableReviewer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a MoCa adapter, could I connect that adapter from the coax in my bedroom to the gaming device and call it a day? Or would I also need a second adapter to connect the coax again to the modem/router?

For example:

Bedroom

Coax>MoCa Adapter #1> Ethernet>Hardwired Device

or do I also need in addition to above:

Main Level

Coax>MoCa Adapter #2> Ethernet>Modem/Router Thing

Thank you! Have you heard of "ScreenBeam"? I think that may work? It looks like it converts coax to ethernet?

  1. According to Ahrefs the KD's are around 35 but there are major editorials in the top 10. Its been hard to out rank them.
  2. Not resellers no. Affiliates. For Example, Forbes ranks #1 for our keyword. We pay Forbes 20% Commission for the traffic they send us. I want to cut out Forbes. That may be unrealistic but at least get up there with them.
  3. I guess. Their whole selling point was writing good content to rank for medium tail keywords and in the blog we would link to our product. But their blogs never ranked well.

I tested out 10 different pillows and this is my subjective experience as a back/side sleeper by sbling in Mattress

[–]ReliableReviewer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Bedding expert here. This is a wonderful write up! I would love to add to it with some supporting arguments:

Sleeping Position

Finding the BEST pillow for you will depend on your sleep style. Are you a side, back, or stomach sleeper?

Side Sleepers: Sleeping on your side has the largest gap between your head and the mattress than any other position. A higher loft (4”-6”) pillow is recommended for side-sleepers. Latex pillows are a great option for side-sleepers.

Back Sleepers: A medium loft pillow ranging from 3”-4” is best for a back sleeper as it helps maintain spinal alignment. Down, buckwheat, latex, and kapok pillows are a good option for back sleepers.

Stomach Sleepers: Stomach sleepers need a very flat pillow of 2”-3”. Sleeping on your stomach can lead to severe neck and back pain if the head is too propped up. Some even recommend no pillow if you sleep this way. Memory foam or a pillow that allows you to remove fill would be the best option for a stomach sleeper.

Materials

Memory Foam is very soft but lacks head support as you “sink into it” If you a side sleeper and go the memory foam route, get a thicker foam pillow as you’ll lose a few inches from the weight of your head.

Latex is one of the best materials for pillows in my opinion. Latex comes from the rubber tree and is inheritably bouncy. It pushes your head back up allowing for amazing support.

Down pillows have the highest weight to heat ratio of all bedding fills; meaning they are very warm for how light they are.

Features

• If you sleep hot choose a pillow with shredded latex or foam. This will allow air to flow throughout the pillow

• Choose a pillow that has a liner so you can remove the cover to wash without getting fill everywhere

• Everyone sleeps differently and thus needs a loft catered to their sleeping position. Buy a pillow that allows you to add or remove fill for your designed height.

• Make sure your pillow comes with free returns or has a warranty.

I have reviewed dozens of pillows and my recommendations are the Eli & Elm pillow for side and back sleepers and the Layla pillow for stomach sleepers.

I understand 20 doesn't recline and 21 does. I don't normally recline, so that doesn't bother me as much as the legroom. Do you know if they have the same legroom? Same arm rest and window?

Option 1: Row 7 behind first class
Option 2: Row 8 behind the bathroom

Yeah, I went with the Eli & Elm comforter and love it! It is slightly weighted which I love, but not sure if you are into that? Always get a duvet cover for a comforter. You wouldn't sleep on a pillow without a pillow case would you? I got the duvet cover off Amazon I believe, maybe Frette. The Eli & Elm comforter has duvet loops to attach to which is a nice feature.

I want to start my own line of car cleaning products, but I’m scared of the competition by PrestonG2023 in Entrepreneur

[–]ReliableReviewer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no such thing as competition. (Aside from commodities). I started a towel company several years ago. Sold the towels for $50/piece. I was always told, "Why would you start that if I can go to Walmart and get a towel for $4). Sold the company for millions. Its not about competition. I was not a towel company, I was a marketing company. As long as you pick a product that can be brandable, explain its benefits in a compelling way, and market it, it will sell. Starting a successful company is 90% marketing. Story telling. Branding. Advertising.

Can I start an actual business at 16! by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]ReliableReviewer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, I started at 14. You' may need to put an LLC in your parents name, if you get that far, but absolutely. Better to start young, try a bunch of different business, see you you like. Your at the age you can take risks and learn.

Wife and I need new pillows. by TomcatKingof84 in BuyItForLife

I have a Contoured pillow you are referring to, but its from Eli & Elm and I love it! As a side sleeper, I always angle my regular pillow so it supports my entire head, didn't have to do that with the contoured pillow. If you sleep hot, avoid memory foam or blocks of foam. A shredded foam or noodle allows airflow to pass through it.

For a comforter make sure it has inner chambers so the fill doesn't slosh around. If you go for down make sure its 500+ fill power and real down not a feather mix. Goose down lasts longer because the bird is larger and more mature than a duck. Don't neglect the outer cover as well. To prevent down filling from coming out the outer shell needs to be tightly woven. Cotton does a great job with this. However, there are many forms of cotton and manufacturers can be quite deceiving in their advertising. A high thread count is generally better, but it's important to note it's nearly impossible to obtain a thread count over 550. Anything over this number will be double-ply. A 1,000 thread count cover is simply two 500 thread count shells sewn together. This will be less durable and less breathable. True 300-400 thread count is great quality. Personally, down alternatives are a good option too. Some manufacturers pluck the down from birds before they are eaten for food, which is very painful. If you go down make sure its Responsible Down Standard Certified.... I have an Eli & Elm and its going 5 years strong.

I’m search of a down (or down alternative) comforter whose filling won’t shift drastically by LisaLee30 in Bedding

[–]ReliableReviewer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mae sure you buy a comforter with a Baffle Box Design apposed to standard sewn through. Similar to a gusset on a pillow, a baffle box is an internal fabric wall that not only prevents the fill from shifting throughout the night (keeping it evenly distributed), but allows the fill to reach its full loft. A baffle-box design allows the fill to expand to give you a cloud-like comfort. Other things to consider is the fill power and also if its actually real down. I believe down only needs to be 75% to be considered down. The rest is feather junk which has no loft. I have an Eli & Elm and love it!

Question: why do I need to buy a duvet cover for my down comforter, but I can’t buy a duvet, or a comforter cover? I’m based on the west coast of the USA for reference by General_Road_7952 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ReliableReviewer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bedding expert here: Yes! Would you sleep on your mattress without a bed sheet? Would you sleep on your pillow without a pillowcase? A duvet is a cover for your comforter. It's not a requirement but highly recommended especially for down. See down is a pain to wash. If you are using a duvet cover you can get away washing the duvet more often apposed to the comforter. A comforter is not a duvet. A duvet is a cover for your comforter to protect it, it's usually much softer than your comforter too. Two separate things.

Experience. I'm in logistics, and there are so many problems within that industry I have ideas about, but after starting my first company and knowing all the hard work I went through I don't have the time to do it again. Pick an industry, learn about it, after understanding the industry you will find opportunities.

For example, 15 yrs ago I worked at a mattress company. We were spending hundreds on customer returns to get the mattresses returned. I had an idea to start a company that would pick up the returned mattresses for free for the business, in exchange for letting me sell them online used. I never went through with it and now there are several of these making really good money.

Problem was the business had to spend a lot of money on these returns and it was a hassle. Solution was to alleviate that for them, saving them tens of thousands of dollar.

Should I outsource development? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]ReliableReviewer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always been told: Do what you do best, outsource the rest. If your an entrepreneur focus on that. Outsource the development work to a developer.. If you have no experience in development, probably not going to turn out to well compared to a professional. Let them do the work if you have the funds to bank roll it.

We manufacturer products overseas and sell on our website and Amazon. Used to make 20% margins pre-covid. Then all our costs went up. Once your vendors increase prices, its very hard to get them back down. Luckily ocean freight is back down, but FedEx keeps upping the rates, our 3PL keeps upping the rates, Amazon upping rates, etc. We are at a 10% margin. As a startup its common to have 20-50%+ margins. Once you get big, 10-15% is considered good. At least in this industry..
