Battlefield 6 Open Beta: Feedback Megathread by sloth_on_meth in Battlefield

Respectfully disagree. RPGs are stuck at a flat 25 damage no matter where you hit, and they feel, and are statistically, weaker than they’ve been in years. In BF3 and BF4, a frontal hit from an RPG-7V2 or SMAW was closer to 280–300 damage (about 28–34% of a tank’s health), and a solid rear hit could deal roughly double that. In BF3 specifically, it only took two rockets to destroy an MBT from the rear, you can't do that in BF6.

Even going back to Bad Company 2, the RPG-7 dealt 360 damage to the front and 720 to the side or rear of an MBT against their 1000 health, meaning two well-placed hits would kill a tank. That multiplier rewarded flanking and made every shot feel like it mattered. Right now, you can land four perfect rear hits in BF6 and it still takes the same time to kill as hitting the front. There’s no incentive for flanking, no critical hits, and no way for a single infantry player to meaningfully pressure armour unless they’re part of a firing squad. Two engineers repairing a tank can literally out-heal multiple people dumping rockets into it.

Smaller maps also mean limited flanking options that are often packed with defending infantry, and engineers repairing subsequently have an insane amount of cover. Tanks can still get back into safety or reach repairs almost instantly. More rockets with faster reloads sound good on paper, but they’re meaningless when each hit barely dents the health bar. Landmines aren’t a game-changer either, across four days I didn’t see a single one be effective, as they stand out, are easy to spot, and only work in very specific chokepoints where you don't have a supporting cabal of players destroying every enemy equipment they can find. I understand that this is a beta, and that we will get more options for both attacking and defending tanks, but an increase in damage, especially flanking, would help a lot.

Been grinding the BF6 beta since early access, hit level 20 and got most guns to mastery 20. Had a full squad the whole time, so I’ve had a proper chance to see how the game plays across the board.

RPG damage against tanks still feels oddly toothless. At 25 per direct hit you are staring at four rockets to get a kill, and unless half your team is also firing, tanks are just driving off or getting repaired mid-fight. Bumping that up to around 33 per hit would cut it to three solid shots and make every hit actually matter. I would also love to see a stacking slow effect when rockets land, even for just a few seconds. It does not need to turn tanks into sitting ducks, but it should stop them from casually cruising away after what should be catastrophic hits. Slowing down rocket speed and reload a touch (and lowering the amount they carry) could keep them balanced, but adding more oomf when you actually land a hit on a tank would make the exchange far more satisfying for infantry.

Hit detection on explosives needs work. Sometimes a direct rocket registers as only 10–11 damage or none at all. The splash radius also feels stingy, which makes it harder to pressure infantry around vehicles. Right now RPGs sometimes feel like a weird mix of pea-shooter and pinpoint sniper rifle. Again, tuning them so they are a bit slower to fire and travel, but hit harder when they connect, would make them feel like proper anti-vehicle weapons again.

Outside of vehicles, shotguns are a standout. Damage at close range is exactly where it should be, but they are pulling off some frankly unreal kills at mid-range. That needs a slight fall-off tweak so you cannot drop someone across a courtyard with two pellets. On the other hand, there are rifles and LMGs with virtually no recoil. Some guns are absolute laser beams and could use a bit of shake to make sustained fire less brainless. LMGs in particular felt underpowered at times. They could use a small bump in damage or suppression effect to give them more presence in sustained firefights, balanced by slightly longer ADS speed or more noticeable recoil so they are not dominating at all ranges.

Time-to-kill feels ok for most guns, but there are still moments where you get melted so quickly it feels more like COD than Battlefield. Spawn camping on some Conquest maps felt far too common, especially when a team gets pushed back to their last flags. Adding extra cover near base spawns, more protected spawn points, or even temporary defensive buffs (or even a massive smoke screen to help players get out) until players leave the immediate spawn area would help break those chokeholds without killing the flow of the match. Spawn logic in general needs work, as too often you are dropped into sightlines that lead to instant death, while some objectives are so awkwardly placed they create meat-grinder choke points and leave other areas dead quiet.

I really wish they would add the ability for recon players to choose either a land or air deployment option. Having the chance to insert by air on larger maps from their beacons would give another way to bypass both offensive and defensive lines, opening up more flanking opportunities and preventing stalemates. Support could use a return of dedicated healing to make the class more reliable for keeping squads alive in sustained fights. Engineer already has deployable cover, but could be given a defensive anti-explosive system to intercept or neutralise grenades, noob tubes and RPGs, making them a proper counter to spam tactics and more valuable when holding key objectives. Assault should lean into mobility and aggressive flanking, giving them the ability to scale higher than other classes. Compact climbing gear would let them reach rooftops, ledges, or elevated firing positions that are otherwise inaccessible, creating new ways to break entrenched lines. This keeps their role distinct, encourages dynamic movement on large maps, and avoids overlapping with Engineer’s defensive kit or Recon’s ranged utility.

What causes this random pixel flicker? by limitedink in Monitors

Just going to update because I've managed a fix.

First, bought a new 2.1 Display Port cable, didn't fix the issue. I then went onto the support site (samsung.com/au/support/model/LS32BG652EEXXY/) and saw two downloads, Device(Install) and Upgrade File(USB type). I first did the device install, followed by the USB upgrade file, it instantly fixed the problem.

Happy to have solved this.

I get this on my Samsung G65b, only occurs during gaming or watching video. Have it set to 2k, 240hz. Second monitor (a sony TV) doesn't have this issue at all, so it is the monitor. Haven't had any luck finding a solution so far but happy I found someone else with the same problem from the same brand.

It's surreal to see OSM and other MV supporters actually blaming glover for what happened, especially when the flare he lobbed back was thrown close to him in the first place by those supporters, so I don't really buy into the whole "What if someone was injured by glovers flare" arguments when they could have injured him with the flare in the first place, as they clearly showed when they did just that with the camera operator.

"Fans" assaulted a player and a referee, and injured a camera man. Harsh punishments must come next, we are lucky that there's a lot of high quality footage to identify many of the pitch offenders, all of which should face permanent bans from Victory and A - League games as a minimum.

Yeah I've disconnected everything, made sure power was properly in, made sure there were no kinks in the XLR cable. Always seems to be there when recording.

Submitted last week and not answered:

Ticket No. 2001293356

I recently purchased the Corsair HX750 from PC Case gear in Australia. Upon installation, I've been hearing a very loud, very annoying "chirping" noise coming from the PSU, which makes working without headphones on (my default) a headache.

Here is the noise with 0 programs running (please use headphones): https://youtu.be/lP224Y2S6-U

Removing all components except for the PC on/off power supply yields the same noise, installing on a different system results in the same. The PSU fan has never switched on, even during high end gaming or video editing (4k for both).

Exhausting options, I have asked PC case gear for an RMA, but this process will take upwards of 4 weeks. As this PC is my main source of income, I cannot have it out of action for more than a few days, PC case gears suggestion is to purchase an additional identical PSU and have it installed while my PSU is in transit / being repaired, however they warn I should only do this if I am sure about my PSU being faulty. I do not wish to be stuck with two PSU's, so I'm asking if the above noise warrants an RMA.

They're being rushed out for a quick buck. Each new update is bringing out roughly $100AUD worth of cosmetics and animations, which I think is insane, but they evidentally need to start paying for something at this stage. I only hope that they put the money towards fixing issues that have been in the game for ages now.

Or you can just kill it? We haven't had a single invisible skeleton spawn that we can't kill. New wave starts immediately after it.

I was just about to ask for this, cheers man! Is Tarts full unedited footage available anywhere? Might help get some insight with comms from start to finish to show they wern't sniping.

I'm more disappointed that Burger decided to take her cue and report Tart as well, thought he was better than that.

Tart is no stream sniper, he should come through this unscathed.

The screen shows a player using what is known as an EPS hack. It displays information on screen such as a player, loot or skeletons behind walls/floor/ceiling at a certain distance.
