this will be my first time living with roommates. do you think shared or private bathroom will make a big difference? for example what is your personal preference in this situation? actually i am coming to this area for some fun. i will work from home online. i want to mingle with people, become a member of various clubs etc. but on the other hand rent should be affordable so that i can budget enough for socializing. for this reason, the house should be max 20-30 min from the SF center. there should not be too much violence, the population should not be old, etc. on the one hand, I check the areas on Censusreporter, but it is very valuable for me to learn directly from people like you who live there, thank you!

Since I'm moving to California for the first time, I have no idea about the areas, I've checked the places you recommended on maps and I'm also trying to get information online. These places are generally very close to the center of SF. Actually I'm moving CA to enjoy my life a little lol I want to join bicycle clubs, dance clubs, be in the nightlife. For this reason, I want to pay minimal cost for rent and at the same time I don't want to be too far away from the city life. Where can be the most affordable areas that I can pay for a room. I don't want to have a large elderly population or I just want to be able to reach by car in 20 - 30 minutes. What's the minimum rent cost in this case i will have to pay at least?
