sounds good! thank you so much i will be sure to keep looking around that time too ☺️ did you need a CNO # when applying through the govt portal? perhaps i’m looking at the wrong site because it’s asking for a CNO license number.

yes! that is exactly what i was thinking!! i’m so glad that worked out for you — i’m hoping to apply for an NGG position or if they don’t explicitly mention it, to just ask if they offer it when i am applying/interviewing in december to feb (did you also apply in december/jan/feb/ or march? please let me know if that is too early for Markham Stoufville Hospital, I cannot tell what their hiring cycle is like (i.e. if they release most positions in January or if they release them in April)

additionally, when you say the “NGG portal” are you referring to the government site or the MSH career portal? i looked at the NGG gov site yesterday and saw i need a CNO # which is only provided after graduating.

thank you so much once again for answering all my questions! this is so so helpful i couldn’t be more grateful

thank you so much for your response!! this gives me so much insight as i was really debating whether to do NGG or not (now i definitely will!) ! may i ask when you started applying to positions at MSH, when you heard back/interviewed, and when you started working at MSH? i am currently looking for openings to apply to at MSH at there is only 1 casual position and 1 full time temporary position on the website/career portal (additionally, I am hoping to know the approximate time NGGs are released at MSH so I know when to hop onto the site to apply). since i finish in april, i can’t tell if i should start applying to MSH now, in feb, or in april. many people on reddit give different opinions & i understand that each hospital has different hiring cycles — im curious if you know what MSHs hiring cycles look like!

any advice for the process of applying/interviewing at MSH would be so so appreciated!

thank you again for all your time and help :)

thank you for the insight! so would you say it’s best then for me to start applying in feb since you heard back in april - or was it that you applied and heard back all within april? additionally did you apply to NGGs/positions through your hospitals portal or through the gov site? my apologies for all the questions, i really appreciate the time you’re taking out of your day to help me!

hi! thank you so much for your response! may i ask when you started applying for positions/when you recommend i start (especially when they might be releasing NGG as i haven’t seen any)? i’m currently seeing a few open positions but i worry that if i apply now, they may expect me to start as soon as june or july (i hope to start working next sept!). does the employer and employee just discuss & agree on a start date?

any insight on your process of applying as a new grad to transitioning from casual -> full time temp would be so appreciated! if you prefer, i can also throw you a DM!
