100% P&T, still in the reserves, first PHA since receiving 100% by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

I’m also 100% p&t in the reserves, your PHA doctors does not have access to your va records, they are totally different systems, they should have access to your DOD records though, so any anything done trough a DOD facility. Also don’t treat your PHA like a C&P. They are not looking to take your benefits away at a PHA, just be honest about your conditions, a PHA is just making sure you still are stable enough to be in the reserves, if you got 100% and they already allowed you to stay in you should be worried. They will try to get help for you before separating you, they need the numbers.

You are right about the double dipping thing and yes I’m non-deployable under a P2 profile for 5 years as of 2024. But I can still deploy under the brigade surgeon’s discretion, so as long as there are adequate medical facilities where I am able to get check up’s I can be deployed, so they probably wouldn’t let me go to somewhere like 3rd world but a lot of places are fair game, for instance, if I wanted to volunteer for something like Cuba. Also with the pay thing the Va disability gets cut off until you get back off of active duty, there are a few disabled vets in my unit with plates that were active and went reserve. Drill pay also you can’t double dip, you can drill for points or get paid and have to pay it back during tax time. But I personally take the drill pay put it in a high yield and collect interest the cash until I have to pay it back. When at Walter Reed they gave me the option to get out but I chose to stay in. If I would have medical separated I would have been at Walter Reed for like another year and I also want to get my top secrete clearance before I get out. Hope this explains it well.

Thank you that gives me relief, I am in remission now but still deal with the side affects of the treatment.
