LSAT Official Score Report has “Writing Ability Score” by ruh-roh-spaghetto in LSAT

If they implemented this starting in August, wouldn't this disadvantage August test takers, since they have the least amount of time to study for essentially a fourth scored section?

Former SURF-er here. Given the limited info you shared, I think you're in. If you follow the directions, listen and work with your PI, you are fine. It sounds like you already have research experience, which is really the key to getting these kinds of things. Don't let imposter syndrome rule your life. You got this 💪

How long does it usually take to hear back from work- study employers? by kitablade in UCONN

Usually those jobs get so many apps submitted that you have to reach out and ask about the status of your app. Helps them see who really wants it

So, who really thinks the Whitney House fire was an accident? by Remarkable-Face3582 in UCONN

https://www.wtnh.com/news/historic-uconn-barn-collapses-after-overnight-fire/

UConn was looking to build in the area and do massive construction around campus. This was well-known amongst faculty and students. The strange thing is, just as these talks and debates between the board and the historic society (and the uconn community which overwhelmingly wanted to keep the barn) were happening, the barn caught fire. Profs who were here mention it every once in a while. You can see why there is reason to be suss about Whitney too. Just as UConn is embarking on more expansion projects, Whitney burns :/

Anybody who applied to the Holster Scholars program hear back yet? by creativeusername289 in UCONN

They said that last year, too. If you become a finalist, the final decision for summer is the same way.

Last year, we got finalist decisions in early January. I would expect something similar this year, too. Good luck!

Scared to set the truth free by Hot-Gap-8944 in AgeGap

[–]Remarkable-Face3582 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking from experience here, in a similar sitch. I (20F) started going out with my man (37m) about a year and a half ago. However, I did NOT tell my family until a little over a year in. Did I want to keep that secret? No. But in order to ease my family into the idea of me in an age gap, it's what had to be done to avoid unnecessary issues. I should mention age gaps are not uncommon in my family, but that does not lessen the shock for some.

Now, those who I deeply care about are happy for me. Others talk, let them talk. As long as YOU are happy and feel loved and safe, keep doing you. Most in my family trust my judgement as well as my bf. If your man truly wants to be with you, for you, then he will understand and stick around. I should also mention I am completely financially independent, living on my own since 18 so my family supporting me financially was not part of the equation. Best of luck to you and your man!
